It was written by the wrong kind of Jews, Max. You should know that. All Jews hate Corbyn. I SAID ALL JEWS HATE CORBYN, DAMN YOU!!!
Yeah suppose so. But the Chief Rabbi only represents some 30% of his co-religionists. If anti semitism is such a big thing why are the ultra orthodox, liberal, progressive and reform congregations not issuing similar statements. It's a bit of a mystery.
Too scared of reprisals Max.
You sad, sad, sad little man.

Eat the rich, father ted , it’s bloody obvious why I refer to Abbott as the village idiot, she is just that. Nothing more sinister despite your inferences. If in doubt look at the video of her stating labour are going to employ police @ £3 per annum, or the one when confronted by Andrew marse as to why she voted against proscribing a list of terrorist organizations inc al queda, Islamic Jihad ect she says that some of them were just dissidents. When he individually named each organization and spoke of their atrocities and asker her specifically which of them were just dissidents she rambled on in her usual incoherent manner and couldn’t, or refused to answer. Among all the idiots I have seen in parliament she reigns supreme.
The ability to construct a coherent sentence without spelling mistakes should be a minimum requirement before people start referring to others as "village idiots".

If he doesn't become PM and if it looks like the Tories are going to be a relatively stable government then yes, he will step down. The next leader will almost certainly be Angela Rayner imho just because the membership is not going to vote for a Right-Winger like Jess Phillips....
I could see them possibly going for Kier. If Labour were to end up as the largest party in a hung parliament, I could see Labour securing SNP and Lib Dem support, but on condition that Corbyn walks. And Kier would be right up their street.
I can promise you, absolutely promise you, that Corbyn's position will not be on the negotiating table. He will go during the next parliament. I am sure of it. For christ's sake he'll be 75 if the next election isn't until 2024, if he were to stay until then and win that election and serve a full term as PM he'd be 79 by the time the next one rolls around! Its not going to happen. What Labour will not allow, though, is other parties to dictate who the Labour party leader is. Labour could just as easily turn around and say that Jo Swinson is an impediment to any agreement and only talk turkey if she got the boot. I don't think the LD's would react well and rightly so.
No, the succession process will begin during the next parliament, and on Corbyn's terms, given the overwhelming good will that he still enjoys from the membership. Obviously if the election is a catastrophe he would step down immediately.
I don't think Kier Starmer wants to be leader, I don't think he has what it takes to be leader either. He's just too...dull. The labour movement wants to be inspired, its lifeblood is its activist base. If they aren't inspired then I think Labour struggles or it adopts the Blair approach and ditches ordinary people entirely and goes straight to the mega rich and starts handing out favours for cash.
If you fancy a flutter getcha money on Angela Rayner. Her main challenger will be Jess 'rent-a-gob' Phillips who will represent the right of the party. Dark horses are the fantastic Laura Pidcock and Richard Burgon. I'd think Pidcock over Burgon though.
Keir Starmer definitely wants to be leader, trust me.
I think we are using different versions of 'fantastic'.

Eat the rich, get a life, hundreds of thousands of disabled dead due to the Tories, sorry but that is imbecilic.
As for me personally being indifferent to the needs of disabled people again , stop and think before you dig a hole and fall in.
I have a severely disabled , both mentally and physically, step daughter who suffers from Rhett’s syndrome ( not Tourette’s, look it up), and is totally dependent. You couldn’t even come close to what I do for charities for the disabled , so putting it politely go f*** yourself.

Good on you for caring for your step daughter. You care for her, you do your best and her wellbeing clearly means so much to you.
Have you ever wondered how good it might be if her needs were acknowledged by our society?
Who would she vote for if she could?

No, you care about your disabled step daughter, just not all the other disabled people that aren’t lucky enough to have support systems around them.

Just watched the clip where Corbyn gets skewered by Neill. He'd do a lot of favours for himself if he didn't give the impression the biggest injustice of all this was him having to answer questions repeatedly on it.
If the overwhelming majority of British Jewish people think that Labour has a serious problem with anti semitism, as the polling suggests, then that should be it. It's not for any other group to claim they are being duped by a media conspiracy or to imply there is an ulterior motive behind it.
There's an obvious double standard in holding up Warsi's critique of the Tory party as islamophobic as proof of that, yet downplaying the fact that multiple Jewish MP's have left the Labour party due to being uncomfortable with the atmosphere and leadership on anti semitism. The memberships reaction to this whole shitshow has been so weirdly inward looking and defensive. Booing and attacking journalists for asking legitimate questions is straight Trumpian.

Oh come on. On Mirvis’s own Facebook page he describes Johnson as “a long-standing friend”. Why is anyone surprised that he came out against Johnson’s main opponent, and on the very morning that Labour’s policy on anti-semitism was due to be published?

No surprise at all. He has a right to do just that too. In the same way others will emerge to attack Johnson. That’s politics, it’s a dirty business.
It’s not the comments that matter but whether people believe there is an element of truth behind them. We all make up our own mind. Though watching Corbyn with AN may help people decide.

The overwhelming majority? Based on what? The Labour party doesn't have a problem, left wing politics has a problem. The combination of not knowing or agreeing with the definition of anti-semitism and using poor language choices when showing support for Palestine is at the root cause of it. A woman phoned James O'Brien yesterday and claimed this echoes Nazi Germany. Utter f*cking ridiculous statement that does nothing to help matters.

Jamespissevans, just to clarify, the misspelling of your username was intentional, however the misspelling of Rett syndrome was the result of the auto correct thingy misbehaving. It just happened again but I re typed it.
I appreciate your genuine concern relating to my step daughter , it’s a b*stard condition that took a normal 2 year old to a totally dependent state who as part of the disability incurs multiple epileptic fits on a regular basis.

I've seen all the stuff you've posted on this forum around politics and you have the audacity to call me stupid

. It's quite clear your views on anyone else struggling. Good for you, you donate to charity. You wouldn't have to if we had a government that cared for everyone. What do I do? I pay my taxes and vote for parties committed to making this country better for everyone.

If you are trying to impress me by saying that you pay your taxes, well what do you think every other working person does, and for the record, having worked much longer than you I can assure you that her majesty’s coffers have benefited substantially more from my contributions than yours.
