But I don't think ML will go for him.
I really do need to work out how to put a thumbs down button on here.

Some journalist has named five possibles. They are : Nolan, Derek Adams, Campbell, Cotterell and Powell.
My choice would be Powell.

Seen some on social media who suggest Nolan. After his shameful behaviour at the Awards dinner, he can never be considered, even as a tea boy.

After all, if we don't offer enough, he'll just Jackett in .
Dave Challinor is the man; no Jackett required.

Well this is what worries me. Will Ling recommend to the owners a much travelled and more experienced man than himself?

Dave challinor we should look at. Plays good football, Ed defender. Fylde had a solid defence last year to. However, doubt he will come down south as he never has and is probably on a good wage at Fylde

One thing is clear. Judging by opinions here Ling will have an impossible job satisfying everyone. I wish him luck. Tough crowd to please.

The complaints are being prepared and the knives sharpened before a short list even exists.

I agree. Whoever it is somebody is bound to get upset . However let’s hope this new man is at least to most people’s liking.

For the most part managers don't bring in their own backroom staff at lower league level.

Martin Allen hasn't been mentioned yet.

Hope we go for him, as it'll drive ChingfordRed apoplectic.

The speculation is meaningless really because we’ll never really know the full details of who did apply and who didn’t. As said above, one certainty is that whoever is chosen is not going to be everybody’s cup of tea - best we can hope for is that the majority are on board with it!

Until he dares lose a game. Then watch the comments. Especially if it takes him time to turn it round. I can hear the calls to reinstate Ross already.

I doubt Ross Embleton will make that mistake again. I hope he gets a couple of good results before the new head coach arrives. Personally I don't have a preference.

What about his England role? Does he have enough L1/L2 experience? Ling wont fall into the same trap as he did with Steve Davis who had no experience at the level we were playing at.
He won league 1 at charlton and then their nut job of a chairman interfered in matters.
