He clearly understands the game and I dare say has a great many useful contacts within the business. I have little doubt he has the gravitas to bring together a group of players and he has shown he has an understanding of the loss of JE so should be able to cope with that aspect of the role.

No reason for Ling not to at least have a coffee with him and see if he could paddle our canoe up the creek without losing said paddle.
Good. Let him join somebody else then . We need somebody with far more experience in management than him

WTF? What are you talking about. You seem to be fighting lots of fires on different fronts and quite frankly not making any headway.

Don’t drag me into your petty squabbles.

It is being reported that Sol has previously issued a winding up petition against Macclesfield for unpaid wages and bonuses with the hearing set for 23rd October. The LMA are trying to broker a deal between both parties. The value owed is £150k

Might have been on behalf of the players. I believe a certain foghorn on here claimed he was managing them for free, which if he was due a salary clearly isn't the case.

Could be Ling did have a coffee with him and discuss matters! I’ve just noticed that Campbell has brought in Andy Cole and Herman Hreidarsson as his coaching assistants at Roots Hall. This would have disqualified from the job at the O’s , so maybe Campbell was one of those mentioned by Ling Snr in his last interview, who dropped out when told they had to work with the existing set up at the club?

Both of those were working with him at macclesfield, that would make sense as I was the one that picked up on the orient hour when it was said 2 dropped out as they were not allowed their own assistants.

Well they would have been silly to apply since the brief for the job at Orient was very well known.

Don’t blame him if he did leave, he’s worked under serious tough conditions since he started. The fact the players have had issues with money all season it’s no wonder they are not performing.

Martin seems like a very un-likeable owner.
