Does any other sport compare to test matches that finish like that.

Still tickets to be sold for the last 2 tests.
Hold that thought .

Im sure that both sets of players would rather play in meaningful test matches, fully supoorted than playin 2 dead rubbers in front of a miniscule England support & a bunch of gloating Aussies.

I think, to an extent, we earnt the luck by creating such pressure on both the aussie's and the officials. The atmosphere was electric in the ground.Disoriented wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2019 4:22 pmWe needed some luck and got it in spades.Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2019 4:20 pm f*cking hell what a win. Total and utter fake news again I’m afraid. There’s only hospitality tickets left and day 5 tickets which they don’t tend to sell in advance normally. Test cricket is magnificently supported n this country, the best supported in the world bar none!
Brilliant England, Brilliant Stokes..... The greatest sporting achievement in my lifetime, it was wonderful to watch and was what top notch sport is all about. Anyone who don’t like cricket and especially Test Cricket...you lives are sooo much the poorer for it....
That whole test match, pure theatre, sport at its brilliant best, every single last ball of it.

Completely correct. The Aussies (and the umpire) went to pieces.BoniO wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2019 5:04 pmI think, to an extent, we earnt the luck by creating such pressure on both the aussie's and the officials. These figures show otherwise.
Still a well deserved victory & stokes is genuinely now the Ginger Botham
Still he is Englands 1 man team in much the same way as Smith is Australias .
Just in case you want to read them all again KokomO

Ignore this other fella - he has been stirring for a fight all afternoon.
Your learned comments are correct and concur with Sir Alistair Cook who has called Stokes’ innings the ‘greatest by an Englishman’.
I can’t recall a better one.

Just heard the result, not heard or seen any news of it however, were we that good? If so we can claim it was down to us, my idea about "fluence"and once we aimed properly, smash bang wallop you got 'em Well done Dis', pity we can't try it on the Ornaments, (old nickname from far back, not sure if you'd heard of it)point nine one eight wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2019 9:41 amOoops my fault, should've made it clear which side to put the "fluence, on. Please put your best efforts into rest of the game for me as my "fluence" definitely isn't working, where really that bad?point nine one eight wrote: ↑Fri Aug 23, 2019 12:01 pmWith a pint in your hand, lucky old you. Re: England win toss...................
Must admit that England are very lucky. Had the Aussies not wasted their last review on a pretty desperate LBW and had it when England still needed a run to tie, they would have won. Same with World Cup Final. Still glad to beat the convicts.
