Relentless.

Because Orient fans are directly mailed ticketing information and will be on their social media channels. I don't buy the idea that city fans would bother en masse.

Because a ticket for an Orient fan in the home end is clearly worth a lot more to an Orient fan than a city fan. I don't buy the idea loads of city fans are happy to pay twice what they would for a prem away ticket to sit amongst home fans.
It's quite clear to me that MistaBobDobalina has the best understanding of City's fanbase on this thread. Just because the team and the Club has been guzzling financial steroids this last 15 years doesn't mean they've suddenly become a genuine bigtime force off the pitch. It's the Salford phenomenon scaled up to the top flight.

There'll be a smattering of City amongst our fans, of course, but I doubt you will need 4 digits to describe the number.

Last August we had 4500 season tickets sold plus some left. We then sold more at Xmas. We were on a good run so say 1000 sold. 1500 members prior to Derby

4600 plus say 1000 plus 1500 plus 1250 away equals 8350 we then have to give BBC sponsors, corp hospitality FA etc

Be glad when this games done. Can’t believe that four threads have been started over ticketing. It was explained so clearly and has been executed so successfully. Well done to the club.

The Reverend wrote: Fri Jan 31, 2025 12:13 pm I reckon way more City fans (and general chancers) have bought memberships and snapped up tickets than people realise.

These are people who often have to fork out £100+ for Premier League tickets so a membership + c.£30 is nothing unusual for them.
Would that be the London based City fans or the Manchester based ones as well?
True. Scored 4 goals less than 15 million pound Birmingham and we need another forward.

💯 agree, Stockport is a bigger and more important game than Man City game.
Tomorrow is a huge 6 pointer
Man City is just a bit of fun and a free hit at current Pem and club World Champions.
If any of our players are not 100% for City game, they should not be risked, focus should be, for next 3 x L1 games v Stockport, Mansfield, then Lincoln all at home.

I'm sure this is correct. There may be the odd City fan in amongst O's fans, but I doubt they'll even make their identity known...

Okay- we get half a stadium at home on a Tuesday but take 20,000 to Wembley and IIRC 9,000 to Arsenal for the replay in 2011. You could argue the 'profile' of the club was smaller then than it is now... I'm sure floating or occasional O's fans have been upwardly-mobile enough to snap up what's left.

I think people are massively underestimating the amount of young fans City have gained in London and Essex the past 10 years who have never seen them play before.

This is on top of the regular supporters who rarely get the chance to go away.

Match sold out, end of.

Club made it very clear how ticket sales would be allocated and I think they did a great job, no complaints at all.

What do you expect them to do? Deny STH’s their seats and give them to casual supporters instead.

Moaners could have ensured a ticket if they followed advice given as soon as the draw was confirmed. If you ignore advice it is your fault. For God’s sake shut up moaning and get a life!

Moral of the story is:

Every casual fan should buy an Orient membership at the start of each season. The £30 will give you confidence that you will very likely secure a ticket for big matches if a draw such as this happens again and you are helping to support the club with your financial transaction.

Yeah, you’re right - sad it’s come to this but unless the club bring in some points system, this is the only way for non ST holders to secure a ticket.

Another moral of the story:

It's easier to say "that's unfair" than it is to say "that doesn't suit my particular set of circumstances".

One of my Friends bought one last season & wanted to again. Looked regularly at the club site his emails for any hint of renewal & saw nothing & assumed they weren't doing them this season.
Moral of the Story. Make things much clearer on media LOFC

I’m in the band. It’s true, I missed out because it didn’t suit my circumstance s and it’s the risk you take not getting a ST.

However, the numbers don’t seem to add up and it suited people who could afford a membership last min and a ticket.

My only real frustration is that there were tickets at midday but they disappeared, assuming because they went to people in person. If I knew that in person would get priority I could have got down there but I assumed it would be quicker online and less pressure on the club

I remember queueing in 64 when the West Ham FA cup tickets went on sale, you queued up to buy them at the turnstiles around the ground . I think from memory I paid 7 shillings and 6 pence (37 and a half p in todays money ) the queues seemed to stretch for miles and had Orient and West Ham fans in it, they didn’t ask for ID it didn’t exist. I then lost it, but managed to get one from a well known family in the East End the Tibbs family who were West Ham based and were into boxing, it cost me 50p but was well worth was behind the goal where Norman Deeley scored funny enough I still have half the ticket for the game.

Longest of long shots incoming, if any has or knows anyone else who has a spare ticket for Saturday please let me know, thought I'd be able to get one as was at Derby but obviously that was misguided

Thanks all
