Boreham Wood has the feel of being a Maldon moment. They're a physical committed side and we have a number of "soft" players in poor form... watch out for that banana skin Richie

Re: Exiles thread - Wycombe (A)
Didn’t see today’s game, but it sounds like more of the same. RW was honest enough midweek to say the Millers game was 50-50 and could have gone either way. But after weeks of noises from RW and NT being “we’re in a false position and should have more points”, the delusion has to be replaced by reality - over a quarter of the way through the season, and if Cambridge pick up a point from their game in hand we’re in the bottom four, and I don’t think many fans think that would be a false position.

No, the club thoroughly deserves to be in the position it is .EastDerehamO wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 5:30 pm Didn’t see today’s game, but it sounds like more of the same. This type of performance is totally unacceptable. We're sh*t and League Two bound .
Shocking performance

Re: Exiles thread - Wycombe (A)
Rubbish, nearly all of it is down to Wellens' inability to get this team looking a threat going forward and scoring goals. It's just a miserable show in front of goal week after week. He's only interested in midfield passing.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 4:55 pmThat underlines what went wrong during the Summer . I don't blame Richie for this debarcle because it's completely down to the board . They refused to compete for players during the Summer and went cheap and now look at the consequences.

Richie said we have one of the smallest budgets and are light on quality for this level . That doesn't sound like a manager who has been backed properly to me . I firmly blame the clubs board for not competing for players during the Summer and now we're paying the price for that .Chief crazy horse wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 7:17 pmRubbish, nearly all of it is down to Wellens' inability to get this team looking a threat going forward and scoring goals. Love Ritchie for all what he’s done for our
club but the way he’s talking up the Mighty
Wycombe Wanderers and how they’re a big
club has left me baffled ..
There a club on par with ourselves at best
it’s just there recruitment this season has
been spot on where as ours has been nothing
short of embarrassing..

He is a reputation with other teams fans of never blaming himself, it is quite well known and it almost feels as if it is finally come true hereRedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 7:28 pmRichie said we have one of the smallest budgets and are light on quality for this level . They are a bigger club than us at present. Accept it. They've been in the championship recently and have wealthier owners.Hedmans Header wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 7:38 pm Love Ritchie for all what he’s done for our

Regardless, i think the point richie is making is that it could be us, but its not and its reflected in our squad.

Re: Exiles thread - Wycombe (A)
Never mind who's at fault with the goals. There's a lot more important things to think about at the moment. We got battered, and once again drew a blank in front of goal.Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 7:49 pmHappe at fault for goals 2 and 3.DrWindy wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 3:53 pmThey’re just quicker than us all over the park. Totally agree, no money for the quality of players needed.gshaw wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 4:35 pmThis is what it comes down to. Awful summer recruitment following on from awful January recruitment, see the pattern?Frogger wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 3:58 pm Absolute dog sh*t from every single player. No f*cking recognised keeper, no f*cking decent strikers and a midfield where our best player is 3666 years old.
We went out and brought some kid from Everton, rejects from Leeds, Wigan and Charlton and a bunch of f*cking kid loanees
We end up with a (not yet match fit) CM playing at RB, as we have no cover for our suspended RB because the one we signed in summer got injured playing CDM, because we didn't sign a competent player in the most key position. Shambles.

Surely we could afford the decent non league player Wycombe signed.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 7:28 pmRichie said we have one of the smallest budgets and are light on quality for this level . People keep talking about the budget but is it any smaller than Mansfield, Exeter, Stevenage?Story of O wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 8:16 pmSurely we could afford the decent non league player Wycombe signed.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 7:28 pmRichie said we have one of the smallest budgets and are light on quality for this level . I don't think our budget in 2012 was much better than now yet we got to within penalty kicks of the Championship with far better players than we have now, I wish we had that recruitment team back.
