Due to fading brain cells, when desperately resorting to singing while trying to get kiddo off to sleep a couple of years ago, I realised that one of the few songs I could remember every word to was Half the World Away (I didn't do the accent) so it became a go to (along with Mardy Bum, End of Century and, for some reason, I'm Alright Me by The Cribs - tended not to sing the "take drugs!" bit, just in case it caused issues later in life). Soppy as, but to see Noel sing HTWA live again would be pretty lovely.

This is too jaunty and in the wrong key

This on the other hand - man, Liam singing this gives it something else… I know Noel sang the softer ones as Oasis got bigger, but Liam’s voice works really well when you get to hear a bit of vulnerability in it

Think that Glasto version might have ruined it forever.

He probably knows how to sing his own song better than you do.
Out of interest, which Oasis songs do you believe to sound like Beatles songs?
Take your pick, bunch of rip off merchants, Noel Gallagher admitted as much, even had there haircut the same. Sad.
Then name an Oasis song that sounds like a Beatles song.
We are waiting Monkey Boy…

The fanfare around the announcement feels very 90s doesn’t it? When everyone would get caught up on one big cultural thing then move on quickly. Feels quite nice

Got to feel for the tour manager for Catfish And The Bottlemen. He's taken a punt and booked them to play the Tottenham stadium, only for Oasis to announce that one of their Wembley gigs will be on the same day.
