Still amazes me all these years later that Lingy binned off Ebou Adams to get Dale Gorman and his broken leg in the building.
Adams rejected a permanent contract with us to go to Ebbsfleet actually.

Adams was given a ridiculous time limit to accept our offer. He wasn't prepared to be bullied. He ended up going to Ebbsfleet on less money, because of our stupidity.

You could see that he was a decent player even then. Not big enough to be a top Prem midfielder. Of the the three, Kane shone the least, in my opinion, at the time.

Agree. My juvenile mind saw Kane as generally slow and docile. Carroll was technically beautiful and M'Poku so exciting and unlike much I had seen.
