Absolute sh*te performance, clearly Ross Embleton is way out of his depth. Replace him immediately before our club is once again the laughing stock it was under Bechetti.

Left over from last season,, has been the lack of goals, with just 1 in 5 games. They may need to go back to, a back four and bring in Dennis.

I know it's early doors but I have my doubts about Brill, Ling, JMD and not sure this central midfield is going to be up for it. Alabi on as sub both weeks and he was free to go a month ago. I know we will have changes on Tuesday but back to the drawing board. Remember, the performance s at the end of last season were not very good especially the cup final.

Martin Ling did say if the wheels started to come off , they would bring in a new Head Coach . Honestly , Nigel , Kent and Martin should see the writing on the wall and not wait that long.PoundhillO wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2019 4:46 pm Absolute sh*te performance, clearly Ross Embleton is way out of his depth. Sounds like the concerns of the "moaners" coming home to roost today. CM has needed strengthening for way too long, won't be able to rely on shutting out sides this season like we did last year.
So much for those who say no difference between NL and L2. Remember today's opponents finished just shy of the relegation spots last year. Sloppy play will be punished at this level.

So who was the "some idiot"?CreamofSumYungGai wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2019 4:30 pmWe were on the attack, lost the ball and broke from their own half. Some idiot stood there with his hand up on the halfway line letting them run.

It's been the manor of the defeat to poor opposition . It also sounds like the lack of know how to sort things out. It's got to be nipped in the bud before it becomes a problem.

We had been playing a bit of football but now the options aren’t there and we’re having to resort to pumping it long. Players are going backwards rather than looking forwards as they were.
Big team talk needed from Ross this half time.
This is where I wish we had a more experienced Manager ( Head Coach )
Re: Macclesfield (A) Match / Exiles Thread
I think Ross needs more than 2 games to prove himself, at least a couple of months. That is the same type of chance a new appointment would get, and he needs to be treated the same.
Maybe a little concerning that we have played Cheltenham (50/1 shots) and Macclesfield so far (100/1 shots), and most of the teams we have to face will be better in quality than these.
Important that we bounce back quickly from this. A truly terrible result.

Too right it is when you get battered 3-0 by a side fancied for relegation. Get them midfield signings in like they need to have come in all summer.MrB wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2019 4:59 pmgshaw wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2019 4:57 pm Sounds like the concerns of the "moaners" coming home to roost today. Definitely a bad day at the office. Our record there is not good.
Second goal killed us.
Not sure we are going to score enough goals played the current formation

There’s not much difference. The issue is we are weaker than last season.gshaw wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2019 4:57 pm Sounds like the concerns of the "moaners" coming home to roost today. Re: Macclesfield (A) Match / Exiles Thread
It was a defensive formation to get us over the line and protect what we'd earned at the tail end of last season. To use it the whole time doesn't work imo. Too negative.
The season really starts in earnest next week, then we'll see what this side is made of.
