If poor old Derek had held on for 20 minutes we'd
Be 8th & 4 points out of the play offs.

Made that hard for ourselves by not taking our chances against a dogshit team who should have scored at the end.
But a brilliant 3 points and a clean sheet.
They literally did it on a wet Tuesday night in Stoke. A few monster performances in there

A 1-0 shellacking. Ruel will be a relieved man, fluffed some excellent chances.

Miz, Brown, James and Galbraith outstanding tonight. This team is unrecognisable from the side we were in November.

Jonah    (only joking)

I'd have taken that at 7.45pm, but Ruel should have wrapped it up for us far earlier. He's getting Piggot disease - three left feet.

Port Vale were not that good, it'll be a completely different story on Saturday at Barnsley, but hey-ho we beat Pompey 3-0.

You can forgive Ruel for his 50p feet if he’s scoring but when he is missing easy chances as well it’s hard to justify a place in the team. Mind you, he’s still better than the Piglet. El:Miz has to be MOM. Different class to anything on that pitch tonight. Honourable mention to Gailbraith.

Thought Ruel actually did the grind part of being a lone forward tonight a lot better. Made a load of good runs, pressured their centre backs and linked things up well. Maybe he always does this and we just can't see it as well when watching live. But his finishing and decision making in final third was absolutely atrocious.

Even Drinan would of Scored 1 of those chances tonight

We're short on options up front or Ruel wouldn't be in the starting 11. He's not a League 1 player I'm afraid. I know he's scored a handful of goals this season but only because he's been given so many chances. He misses so many sitters and I'm sure he'd be better if his boots weren't tied together.
