And right on cue Ruel gets a yellow.

As long as we stay up I will be happy this season.
Merry Christmas

So, does Wellens take any blame or not ?

We have 3 midfielders on the bench, Galbraith is a good player but needs two holding/defensive players around him, he’s not physically big enough on his own

Here comes Ruel with the tackle someone should have put on them in the first 5 minutes, not the 48th.

Well we expected a hard game but I expected some fight. This is awful - this is Orient.

Yes if he’s had the final say on what players he wants? No if it’s out of his hands.

Quite obviously this is not last season and they have moved on and improved, but so far, that is not the case with Leyton Orient !
I think because they have the same level of resources as us. You don't need to be Derby or Bolton to compete, but you do need to buy wisely and stop shopping at the end of the window when all the decent players have gone.

And therein lies the problem. Didn't recruit L1 proven quality and it's showing badly against all but the very worst sides
Or trying to outplay a better side Is stupidity and where Wellens lacks and won't let go of his ideals
It was the opposite.

We gave them too much respect and just sat off them. Since changing it around and going 4 v 4 up the other end, it’s looked totally different.

Possibly.

But just as likely the players have collectively frozen and sat off of them because there’s not enough experience out there.

We didn’t sit off them. We couldn’t get near them. Their movement was too good for us and we lacked numbers in crucial areas.

For the selection yes, though I expect a quote along the lines of "I don't have the tools to compete at this level" and he'd be right

For recruitment well that's the big question isn't it. The DoF honestly thinks this squad is L1 competitive which tells its own story.

Who else does the manager have? He can only pick the players in this squad.
The players he brought in you mean
Did he? There is a transfer committee. They make their decisions based on value to the club and he bases his on who he wants.

The defence are the same as last season and the GK coach recommended Brynn.

Forde had a half decent season in non-league. Howes had a half decent career in non-league.

We have 1 fit winger and are forced to play wing backs - not the formation he wants to play. When he does go 4 at the back, he’s forced to play strikers on the wings who both want to come inside.

We have a wage thief in the squad who is supposed to be the creative hub but he does f*** all other than eat.

Orient are exactly where everyone expected them to be come the end of the season.

But we did sit off them.

We went with our front 3 pressing their back 4 ad they just played the ball out every single time with ease.

Obviously Bolton have taken their foot off the gas but since pushing Theo forward, our front 4 have stopped them doing the same.

I wouldn’t have made any changes.

Tell the players you made this mess, you go and sort it out.
And saved El Miz and pratley for Charlton.
