I’m worried if Hunt comes out for 2nd half, especially As the game gets stretched, Hunt will be even more exposed!!
Hunt is a good player so I'm wondering is he playing badly or is our formation ( tactics ) wrong this afternoon.

3mins on clock for 2nd half and Taylor-blacket has beaten Hunt once already

Hunt was awful last week at Colchester I don’t see what Richie sees in it

I have a feeling Taylor-Blacket will be a thorn in the side of every LB in League 1 this season . If he's doing this to Hunt , he'll do it to all the others as well .

You obviously didn’t see any games last season

Don't think the effective back 5 is working in terms of having an outlet. We're just going long to Theo a lot of the time because there's no other options out.

With long term injuries to two of our attacking players that has to be corrected in the transfer market during the week .

With time running out I'd just ask the players to shoot from long range .We might get lucky with one going in .

Decent players but it goes to show that thanks to injuries we currently have a powder puff strike force

Looks like we're holding on for a 1-0 defeat.

That's what happens when we don't sign enough players for an area that was so weak last season and kept two strikers who are L2 standard at best.
GK recruitment good
CM recruitment good
Winger recruitment good albeit with a dose of awful luck
ST recruitment poor thus far... to be continued...
Today has that feel of a 3rd round FA Cup game where the commentator says "they battled well and gave a good account of themselves but just lacked quality when it mattered"

It's only our first game, 45 to go.
I'm sure Ritchie knows what he's doing.
All the Negatively already by some.

For a few years we were weak in midfield but decent up front, now it’s the other way round.

Reasonably competitive showing, away to one of the bigger teams in the division. And with lots of last-minute injuries to our attacking players before the curtain-raiser. If anyone starts going OFF at the players, manager or DOF after that, they've completely lost all sense of proportion.

1-0 defeat, we were not outclassed, held our own even with a depleted team.
O’s best players, El Miz and Brynn
Galbraith and Pegrum did will when they come on.
Hunt had a shocker, less said the better
Ruel is so out of his depth, he is not a L1 player.
Piggott did well, so obvious to everyone watching, he needs a strike partner, a no.9 to run off him, as he holds the ball up really well, let’s hope we get the watford guy in next few days!

We were a little slow in decision making, but a decent performance overall, considering everything thats happened.
Pegrum looked very lively. Hoe we see more of him

Should have made the changes at half time, looked good last 10.

Yeah CM looks cracking, was hoping we were going to be similarly ambitious upfront but keeping the likes of Sotiriou and Drinan at this level is... less than ideal
Thing is it's all very well saying "ah unlucky" today but reinforcements upfront will be needed as you get nothing for effort if you don't score goals. Have to hope for good news on the signing front this week.

FT only had the text to follow - and this this thread. looks like we have played a lot better than many believed we would. I'm sure RW will all over this and the goals will come.

We did OK. Lacking in some areas but we've got injuries already impacting possible selections. Charlton also looked quite good so a 1-0 reverse, away, is far from being a terrible result. Got to give us some time to sort out our best team, given the early injuries.

Set up not to lose rather than win which is…different. Charlton will be well up there . Not too disappointed but would have liked more than one shot.

I think we looked pretty solid. Certainly not outclassed. Clearly we need reinforcements up front with one coming in this week hopefully.
Ruel playing all 90 minutes shows are current limitations.
Keeper looks good, Galbraith as well when he came on.
Idris was brilliant and will be great in League 1 as well.
