Yet he could possibly have the most important position in our team . Maybe we should sign another experienced midfielder before the transfer window closes .
Weve got enough midfielders if this lad joins
Enough CMs in number... only if you count kids with 0 experience
Enough CMs in quality... no

A senior pro CDM would really be a statement of intent, with one of Coleman / Brown heading out the other way (loan perhaps)

Moncur Pratley Clay
Coleman Brown Obieiro Tanga (Young out on loan)
Turner (maybe)

Big gap between the 3 starters and everything else
Statement of Intent ?
why dont we just buy himars,
park it in the
middle & take aim .
" statement of intent "

Calm down Jimmy Tarbuck .

Would a potential loan player be a trialist?

Some of them have done pretty well, but the list shows it has always been a bit of gamble to sign untested youngsters on loan.
Great work on this list. Think it’s interesting just how many have gone on to have largely mediocre careers, largely hopping around clubs at the foothills of the English/Scottish pyramids. Goes to show how difficult it is to eventually break into the top two tiers

It'll be two CDMs, I guess - Pratley will drop deep alongside this kid, with Smyth ahead of them.

It just limits the effectiveness of our high press when we only have the front 4 doing it, not the front 5.

Still find it funny how boarders can write off Jack Turner because he’s a young lad before he has even kicked a ball for us.
Let the guy firstly join, then secondly play a few games, then after a few games, make your judgement.
I’m looking forward to seeing him in a Orient shirt and hope in few games time we’re all talking about what a fantastic signing he is and can we get him on a permanent deal.

According to our website, Shad Ogie, played in centre-midfield yesterday. Maybe RW has a new plan.

yeh Shad did play in Midfield, dropped deep into defence to pick up the ball. He ran the game, looked a class above anyone else. Although consider the quality of the opposition, he should have looked a class apart

I hope so, but in arguably the most important position it's a hell of an ask for someone who's never played before.

Nah, Shad has played more minutes than anyone else this pre-season, they know he's missing the first game of the season so just making sure he's had as many minutes as possible and is ready for match 2.

A class above the lad from Southampton who is supposedly our midfield saviour as well?

We have no idea if he's going to be our saviour. Has anyone on the board stated that? Has anyone watched him other than 60 minutes last night? We've got to trust the scouts, Richie and the coaches on that front. The experts.

Shad has played multiple games of football with every single player on that team, last night, bar the trialists - he knows their strengths and weaknesses. He'll know for example not to play a ball to some players if they are under pressure, or he'll know he can ping a ball to the feet of a more technical player. The trialists have played with none of those players before and got 60 minutes on a bobbly pitch

they could be negotiating on the terms of the loan. Might be some clauses the club doesn't want in the deal, like recall ability etc
