There’s no good version of what happened, but it really does seem to get worse and worse, optics wise

To be fair to Penny Mordaunt she's the last decent Tory frontbencher they've got . When Boris left I was hoping they would make her leader because I think she's a formidable politician . However it's too late now even for her to pull any rabbits out of the hat . The Tories a 4ked.
