Andrew Gwynne, the MP for Gorton and Denton, has been sacked as health minister and suspended from the Labour Party.
He reportedly posted sexist comments about Angela Rayner, racist remarks about Labour MP Diane Abbott and joked about an elderly woman dying in a closed group chat with Labour figures based around Manchester.
Let’s have a look at his replacement as health minister Ashley Dalton
She thinks all toilets should be gender neutral and that people can self ID as Llamas if they wish.
The scandalous thing here is that Labour’s abandonment of reality and failure to grasp why the actual debate was about has led to a point where an bumhole like Anderson joking about straitjackets gets to be the voice of common sense.
That’s always been the inevitability of denying reality in service of a crazy but very well organised extreme activist group (and of people who aren’t crazy just assuming that anything progressive is worth cheering on)
the interesting thing is that there’s really nobody outside of the extreme ideologues actually going to bat for this anymore.
Even the people who would usually say “sigh. NOBODY is saying that…” have realised that in fact that was being said
