It wasn't the building , it was the outer skin that caused the fire to react the way it did. LFB regs wouldn't have passed it. Tory party were responsible for that.

Which is part of the building. I am not denying that building regs are poor and inadequate or that the regulators are either not in place or not strong enough. The building industry has deteriorated in the same way as most other industries or services in the UK

We will see a change in the Labour leadership attitudes shortly as they realise the folly of what they have done so far. Already talk of Reeves acting more like a Tory Chancellor of late in a pro-business attempt to restore the shattered confidence in the economy. They Fcuked up. They can see that. We all can. They are trying to rectify it. Good.

I hope they do. I want to live in a country moving forward. Right now we are crashing and burning. That helps nobody. I don’t give a toss whether Labour or the Tories, even Reform UK are in charge. I just want a prosperous Britain.

Raising money through taxes isn't acting like a Tory chancellor. You'll only get property in the U.K Is investing government money in a broken but fixable society.

I agree it’s not a Tory ideal to raise taxes. But over recent years, and I haven’t looked at data for a while, taxes under a Tory Government continued to rise. They did start to reduce taxes but was that just a pre-election ploy? Probably. Caused a rift in the party (another) with many wanting bigger tax cuts, others realising the money was just not there.

Taxes are a fact of life. What concerns me are rises that hit the most vulnerable the hardest. Current changes are already hitting the lower paid part times, easy jobs to cut and has already started to happen. It will get worse. It’s people who will pay for Reeves folly with their jobs! She needs to deal with it PDQ. I’m sure she will. Watch this space! The Labour hierarchy have had a short, sharp shock. Let’s hope the ditch the L plates soon.
