I suppose that's what you get with less testing.

Yeah, your mate George posted this before. As has been pointed out several times, less testing tends to lead to lower new infections found. Funny that.
The Gov UK site only shows PCR tests up until 20th July. It does show Lateral tests declining up to the 24th though. Where are you getting that graph from?Currywurst and Chips wrote: ↑Mon Jul 26, 2021 2:49 pm How much are tests down? Cases are down 38% in London has the drop in tests fallen by a significant amount?

It would be more meaningful to be using the same datasource.
We are still testing more people than our European neighbours.Currywurst and Chips wrote: ↑Mon Jul 26, 2021 2:49 pm How much are tests down? Cases are down 38% in London has the drop in tests fallen by a significant amount?
To be fair, I did chortle at that.Currywurst and Chips wrote: ↑Mon Jul 26, 2021 3:41 pm I'm just trying to work out what the state of play is.
Everything doesn't have to be you're wrong I'm right.
That may be true but doesn't matter when looking at cases/tests dataRedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 26, 2021 3:38 pmWe are still testing more people than our European neighbours.Currywurst and Chips wrote: ↑Mon Jul 26, 2021 2:49 pm How much are tests down? Also being double jabbed desn't mean that you won't get COVID both me and the other half got it about two weeks after our second jabs.George wrote: ↑Tue Jul 27, 2021 3:46 am I don’t think that anyone can doubt that the combination of the vaccine and immunity are having an impact on the virus. Positive cases falling for 6 days in a row is not simply a case of less testing. Surely the vaccine is limiting the number of people needing a test.
We all knew that the only way out of this was a vaccine. We have one and it appears to be working as they said it would.
Even the scientists are cautiously optimistic. Everybody took notice of them when they told us how bad this virus would be. Why not listen to them now
There was a surge in Scotland, attributed to the thousands of ticketless fans who came to London for a good time.Ronnie Hotdogs wrote: ↑Tue Jul 27, 2021 10:01 am If the data is correct and we’re genuinely seeing less virus, then the surge throughout June and into the start of July is purely down to the Euros. That’s staggering.
This may well be true for many people. If vaccines reduce Covid to the levels of a bad cold, then that’s good.JimbO wrote: ↑Tue Jul 27, 2021 11:00 amAlso being double jabbed desn't mean that you won't get COVID both me and the other half got it about two weeks after our second jabs.George wrote: ↑Tue Jul 27, 2021 3:46 am I don’t think that anyone can doubt that the combination of the vaccine and immunity are having an impact on the virus. It was like a bad cold for me no cough only realised a few days in when I lost my sense of smell it's only partially come back three weeks later.

Now that you've mastered the "what about Terry" thing, you just can't put it down, can you?Ronnie Hotdogs wrote: ↑Tue Jul 27, 2021 12:07 pmBloody scotch.Dohnut wrote: ↑Tue Jul 27, 2021 11:57 amThere was a surge in Scotland, attributed to the thousands of ticketless fans who came to London for a good time.Ronnie Hotdogs wrote: ↑Tue Jul 27, 2021 10:01 am If the data is correct and we’re genuinely seeing less virus, then the surge throughout June and into the start of July is purely down to the Euros. At least you wouldn’t get thousands of ticketless English fans doing the same.
