Truss needs muzzling. Could it be linked with the dangerous dogs legislation?

Tory MP on the politics thingy midday BBC2, kept going on about, "the position Britain finds itself at the moment", as if some Alien had taken us by the hand in a dark forest. I kept screaming at the daft cow, that as they had been in power 13 years, maybe she had something to do with our dodgy situation.

Why are you conveniently ignoring the 13 years Blair and Brown were at the helm?

Arise Sir Moggy! Fabulous. Apart from sucking up tirelessly to Bodge when he was PM, not sure what this is for. Although, the names of his children have given me much amusement over the years

Im not sure if its worrying or just jokeable, how the Tory party is turning so right?
Yesterday Liz Truss got cheers, for regurgitating the stuff that brought this country to its knees a year ago. She has about 60 Tory mp's as followers.
Listening to her ideology, it sounds like the BNP or National Front from the 70's and 80's.
It seems moderate, or one nation Tories hardly exist anymore.
Apart from Truss's group, there are a couple of other factions.....all way over to the right.
At some time next year, they'll lose power, but will be back again, with a near fascist party
Worrying i think

Fear they've tapped into something with this pro motorist stuff. It's insanity that this is what we're discussing in 2023 with the scale of problems we face, but people go loony over their cars. And now that the Tories are in the proper realm of post truth politics, the nods to 15 minute neighborhood conspiracies is a part of an obvious tactic for hoovering up every last nutter vote.

Can you imagine what conversations between politicians and their advisors must be like?

"Basically, Sir, we're absolutely f*cked in the polls unless you go for this incredibly harmful, unethical, populist policy which goes against loads of things we committed to in the past"

"F*ck it, go for it"

I see smirking Farage at Truss meeting. Totally unelectable in his own right, has now joined the Tories as they are going his Fascist way. Gutter politics.

Any bets on which boarder past or present Susan Hall posts as? The implication that Sadiq Khan hates Jewish people on the basis of nothing other than being Muslim feels quite Osoldest.

Where are they finding these freaks.

Even considering the current Tory death rattle, the fact an oddball such as her has managed to become their mayoral candidate suggests they don't actually want to win. Probably better for whoever Sunak's successor is to have Khan still in post so they can distance themselves fully from their own record in Govt and have him as a bogeyman responsible for 'ruining' London.

I think Suella is gearing up for a future leadership bid, and Lizzo is trying to rehabilitate her image (although she's clearly very popular with the membership, so who knows?).

Braverman with a full on, mask off appeal to the far right. Was only a matter of time. Next election will be unbearable.

I'm so glad that Tory Cabinet Ministers have let me know that if Labour get in they will ban meat and I can only go to the shops at certain times. Not abolishing IHT is also wrong, I for one want to know that I can still strive and work hard to be in the 3% of people who will benefit from it being abolished.

The Tories are always consistent, they started by Stopping The Boats and are now Stopping The Trains.

"Beyond dispute the weirdest conference speech I’ve ever seen"

He's clearly never seen IDS's "quiet man" routine.

I really do try not to judge people based on how they look, but it's hard to ignore the evidence of my eyes: to be a Tory politician, you have to be a proper awkward weirdo, don't you?

Jesus Christ, I thought she was going to cry. What does she want people to STAND UP AND FIGHT for? Pathetic leadership pitch delivered like Adolf.
