In a photo on the Beeb website, I'm sure I see Gianni Infantino, the head of FIFA, three rows back as Trump takes the Oath of Office. That's closer to Trump than Musk or any EU politician, whatever you read into that.

For those of you interested, check for yourself. See 2nd foto on this link; at the back of Biden, under the statute.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/resources/id ... 250990e639

Edit - it's not Infantino, it's Jeff Bezos of Amazon.

Think Don had it right when he called them the Biden Crime Family

Because Saint Donald would never do anything like that

Happy to be corrected but I don’t remember Donald giving blanket pre-emptive pardons to all his siblings and his son when he was in charge before?
Let's see if he pardons the violent January 6th criminals

lol ‘violent’ have a laugh. Think there was one shot fired that day, on an unarmed lady (one of the protestors). One of many guided into the place by police and security. People deny truth in aid of their political commitment. What is left after that?

He's not mucking about. So far he's signed the following executive orders:

Withdrawing from the Paris climate agreement
Issuing pardons for January 6 defendants
Declaring a national border emergency
Rescinding 78 Biden-era executive actions
Pausing the TikTok ban
Creating a policy recognizing only two genders
Declaring a national energy emergency
Reclassifying federal employees, making them easier to fire
Revoking electric vehicle targets
Renaming the Gulf of Mexico
Leaving the World Health Organization
Ending birthright citizenship

I wonder what it will take for Americans to see what he really is. And where we'll all be in 4-5 years.

I think most of the intelligent ones know what he is but the problem is that there are way more stupid ones. The far right sussed some time ago that all they needed to do was pitch to the morons and they’d be on a winner.

It’s what happens when you have a succession of weak governments and fail to listen to your own citizens views. We are one step away from this

This.

We are literally following in their footsteps. Next election will see a far right PM in place in our country too.

Not disagreeing with the point about a succession of weak governments, but Trump was democratically elected, winning both electoral college and popular vote. He has listened to the views of voters, promised them what the majority want, and the voters have handed him a very clear mandate.

But hasn't made the food shop cheaper or ended the Russia-Ukraine war
