In that case you owe him royalties for the use of multi-quote.

I was in Spain in July and we were given no notice of quarantine rules. They were introduced without warning. Not sure why India should be different.
But congratulations to Boris for adding India to the red list now. Cracking decision
India is different becuase there will be lots of people with dual British/Indian citizenship
Also the Vaccines in the majority are made there .

Think about it like this .

Nigel Travis has been in London recently
Kent Teague hasnt .
Why ?

Nigel is a British/American dual Citizenship
Kent is an American Citizen
Singular citizenship .

British Citizens can come here as long as they stay in the Hotels & pass covid tests .
I understand that Tuffers. It’s more the fact that they were not on the red list earlier. I know they have had to do the home quarantine but we also know that not many adhere to that.

So you don't want us to concentrate on your views on travel from India any more? Just on the fact you're a selfish **** looking for any excuse to stop following the Covid rules?
Concentrate on what you see fit. I have never hidden or changed my views on lockdown. Because I have worked through it , it hasn’t affected my routine that much.
I have put myself in a controlled risk situation so I don’t think I need lecturing on the rules.
As I said earlier , happy to abide by the rules as long as it’s the same for everyone. Clearly , in this case , it isn’t

I am surprised that more on here have not shown their anger at this issue. After a year , and all we have learnt about transmission, we are still allowing travel from risk countries.

Tuffers , as a Tory voter I have to agree that there are aspects of this pandemic that they have clearly failed on.

Some clearly haven’t learnt anything about transmission!

If this variant that's ripping through India, and appears to be disproportionately hospitalising/killing the under 45s, becomes dominant around the world, I think we're proper f*cked.

Probably be simpler to agree on the aspects they haven’t failed on.

My sister has a friend who works in customs at Dover , she reckons about half the illegal immigrants who are arriving after crossing the channel in all sorts of boats are testing positive ( apparently all arrivals who are caught are tested ) 🤔🤔

Modhi is definitely to blame for this spike in India

His top adviser drove from Mumbai to Pune recently so that explains why things are so bad.

Inside a long Covid clinic - a reminder that not dying from Covid is not the same as recovering from it.

Over a thousand people being treated in that one clinic, another 500 on the waiting list; 83 such clinics planned to open across England by the end of April, with more likely to be needed in the future. Of note that the age group most likely to report long Covid symptoms is 35-49.

1 in 240k to one in 126k, eh?

Guess that's still a reasonable amount of people.

A recent study suggests the risk of a cerebral blood clot from covid itself is 10 times higher than from the AZ vaccine.

Maybe so, but why not just get a vaccine that has less risk of giving you a clot?

Which one?

If this report is accurate - https://www.ox.ac.uk/news/2021-04-15-ri ... 9-vaccines - there is not much difference in the blood clot risk between the AZ and the mRNA vaccines (Pfizer / Moderna). And the J&J vaccine is currently being investigated.

Plus for the current age groups being vaccinated I am not aware that you get a choice in the UK, except to refuse. Only the under 30s have been told they can take an alternative.
