I have family and friends living there now, there has been more peaceful times in recent years. Tensions and flare ups but people have got on. There is an Orchestra based in Spain called the West East Divan whose President is Daniel Barenboim, made up of young people from all over the Middle East. They play music together they do not fight each other and the same thing happened in Israel.
That one example whilst being heart warming in the sense differences can be overcome , does not mean that people live in peace side by side. It only shows what is achievable if the Killing stops on both sides.

Once again, those supporting Israel in this endeavour need to understand that history didn't start last Saturday. You also need to understand that supporting Palestinian rights doesn't equate to supporting Hamas in it's acts of terrorism. The logic here seems to be that it's inhuman to kill innocent Israeli children and families but an acceptable consequence to bomb and starve innocent Palestinian children and families. Many of whom do not support Hamas.
Peace (or even a ceasefire at present) can only be achieved by dialogue. Israel's actions will provide justification for another generation of terrorists. And the cycle of killing will just continue.

My apologies, I hadn’t realised I needed to point out that the Holocaust took place during WW2 when we were already at war with Nazi Germany. Not quite “the World looked on” is it really.

You fail to grasp the fact that Israel, recognised by the UN are a Democratic Sovereign State who were attacked last week by Hamas a terrorist organisation supported only by essentially rogue Despot states. At least they have warned civilians they are coming. I do not agree with any bloodshed or what is going on right now but understand why Israel has to act now.

It’s a shame that Israeli Intelligence seemed to be ‘asleep’ when Hamas launched their initial attack last Saturday.
My heart goes out to the innocent victims on both sides although Hamas have woken a ‘sleeping giant ‘ with this action and will pay dearly I fear, as they should.

Israel has dropped 6,000 bombs on Gaza in 6 days.
The latest toll: 1537 killed, including 500 children. 6,612 wounded, including 1,644 children, according to the Health Ministry in Gaza.

Are these War Crimes proven or in your option? I am sure if there are such then they will be investigated and those responsible charged. Blair was accused of War Crimes but nothing come of it . In fact he is now advising Starmer who is odds on to becoming our next PM. How does that square with you?
