Don't forget Palestine. You have to end up there at some point, or there'll be hell to pay.

Does it include rent control ?
Yes.
That's good. So it might be better than I thought it was going to be.

Of course once the Red Tory funders and landlords in Parliament water it down it will not be worth having or won't go far enough to protect tenants.

Good question! Starmer and Reeves are now devoted to their mission for 'austerity'. They blame the Tories for the horrendous damages inficted by austerity but then their plan for repairing those horrenduous damages is more austerity! No wonder that under their leadership the Labour party gained big sponsors who previously filled the election coffers for the Tories.

Yes, it's a strange coincidence that the neoliberal policies of the Blue Tories are being continued by the neoliberal Red Tories. It's almost as if they are two sides of the same coin.

On the brightside the money saved has been handed out to Ukraine so that as pensioners die of hypothermia in the UK their counterparts in Russian cities can join them as the rockets we paid for rain down on them.

Perhaps because the single person with only one income, less rubbish, no children at school, costs less to the council, than multi-earning families.

That's why a Community Charge (Poll Tax) is much fairer.

Even odder to see the "left" support euthanasing the elderly and arming a genocide. I'm not sure what your definition of left is these days.

You seem unable to deal with the contradiction other than to suggest the "Left" is in league with the right. It is possible to reject war and robbing the poor at the same time.

It isn't possible for Ukraine to reject war. They are being invaded. We are giving them the tools to repel colonisation and occupation. And aside from the obvious principle of that, appeasement with Russia will cost far, far more down the line. They will not stop at Ukraine if they are allowed to win.

Haven't at any point defended the winter fuel allowance cut.

So may as well start the real war against Russia on Monday next week.

Nobody is denying Ukraine has a right to self defence but that right does not extend to escalating the war into a full blown world wide conflict.

There needs to be negotiation not escalation and if in those negotiations Ukraine surrenders sovereignty over contested territory then that is the price of world peace for a few more years. Until of course the West escalates with China.

Perhaps you need to discuss ‘negotiation’ with your communist comrades who continue to invade the sovereign territory of another country and kill civilians with wanton abandon.

Maybe this salient point does not occur to you or that escalation is all on Russia’s hands not Ukraine’s.

Of course, the alternative is you know all this but choose to make provocative comments to add flavour to your humdrum cabby existence.

We’ll never know.

😀

Landlords are not ‘making a living’.

They’re simply getting some poor sod to pay their mortgage for them. And some.

Landlordism is a scourge on society and needs to be eliminated. Making a passive living of the backs of workers because of property rights isn't making a living.

Haha Russia is communist. Imbecile.

You talk about sovereign territory like you know what it means. Much of the territory is historically contested by both parties and some thought has to be given to the protection of ethnic Russians in Ukraine.

David Lammy has suggested that multi-millionnaire Keir Starmer and his wife accepted thousands of pounds worth of clothing and gifts from Lord Alli because there's no way to get taxpayers to pay for them.

https://uk.news.yahoo.com/david-lammy-c ... 34432.html

"I’ve just come back from the United States, where US presidents and First Ladies have a huge budget, paid for by the taxpayer, so that they look their best on behalf of the US people. We don’t have that system over here."
