You’re right, I apologise to every single one of the working class for doubting their collective geographical knowledge and understanding of world affairs.

I should have just called them thick.

:D Just to clarify my prior comment; as I said, there is no doubt an element of what slacker alluded to. But Gary the Plumber doesn't set the news or political agenda. The people who do, however, very much align with what I said.

And Gary the Plumber hasn't got time to read up on geopolitics as he's too busy trying to buy a flat on A Place In the Sun.

Why can't she just not use everything as a photo opportunity? Does she not have advisors pointing out that it just makes her an object of ridicule? Right now the role of Foreign Secretary is a tad serious.

Sorry.

I’m just upset with myself for losing the password to the Gary the Plumber account.

This won’t help garner any sympathy for Ukraine, or their neighbours processing refugees…(except with Faragist types, of course).

Hello. Turkey has just announced it will block Russian warships, that are not based in Black Sea ports, from crossing the Bosphorus and Dardanelles straits. It will be interesting to see if Russia reacts to this, but definitely has potential for escalation.

Self serving, ignorant, loving expensive travel and photo opportunities - just like Johnson.
Both prone to doing more harm than good.

Amidst the death and destruction there is at last something to cheer us up:

I'm sort of keeping a weary eye on this. For now Western leaders are maintaining their position, and not implementing a no-fly zone, avoiding any potential conflict between Russian and NATO forces, and instead finding other ways to support Ukraine. And I completely get why.

But the pressure for further intervention does appear to be building slightly. I'm not saying it will change the approach, but it could begin to chip away at resolve and we're certainly in a situation where there is potential for mistakes.

Its only a matter of time before they take Ukraine, I just hope it goes no further and the sanctions and other stuff stay in place and the Russian people can overthrow that maniac.

The push for a no fly zone has certainly ratcheted up since I bravely called for it

If we impose a no fly zone, it will mean ww3, without doubt.
The first time NATO shoots down a Russian plane, they will respond in devestating manner.
I truly believe Putin will nuke London, he is that unhinged.
We need to wait and hope he is removed by his people, or some general shoots him.
If neither of these things happen, I fear we will have to confront him, just like we had to confront Hitler 80 years ago.
Worrying times for the next few weeks

Ive just been in the Army Surplus Store, Manor Park, about 5 Ukraine men were buying gear as they're going home to fight for their country, good on them for putting their money where their mouth is .... You wouldnt find Palestinians doing that, they wouldnt want to give up the good life ;-)
