Yes but I don't think people here were saying it wouldn't happen, it was more "why do you want it to happen?"

Because the West needs a strong leader who will grab things by the scruff of the neck . Before you ask , No , Starmer isn’t a strong leader.

Obviously I wasn't around at the time so have no real life experience of him but historians appear to suggest Adolf Hitler was a strong leader. Is that the type you want?

That last quote reminded me it was a Democrat who assassinated Abraham Lincoln .
Then your memories are false. He was a pro-slavery, anti-immigration white supremacist who was a member of the Know Nothing party. There is no record of him ever being associated with The Democrat party, other than recent attempts by Trumpists to depict him as so.

Should I have started with Mussolini, advanced to Netanyahou and then to Hitler? Politics is so confusing these days.

Neither is Trump. You believe it we all know that. You'll see from January onwards how weak the old man is.
When Trump leaves office it'll be natural causes or to the cheers of Americans realising how badly they f#cked up

Wait til Russ hears about Trumps Attorney General appointment, it’ll make his tinkie-winkie go all jizzy-wizzy-woo.

They say RFK talks funny because of spasmodic dysphonia. As if such a thing even exists.

Looking at these appointments of oddballs and a rapist to high office one can't help thinking the Trumpets want the state to be publicly discredited and to fail.

I wonder what comes next?

They're trying some shenanigans around getting these batshit appointments passed without senate approval as they are nutty even by republican standards. Gaetz is a complete wrongun and will likely have details of his house investigation into his behaviour leaked before long.

If Trump succeeds in destroying the state as it's been understood for at least a century, he'll be the most important president for at least century. Which is crackers. Only thing stopping him would be his mental decline and inability to actually get anything done.

That’s making the assumption that it’s all his own idea of course. I think there are other players behind him maybe…

The Lizard people, obviously. Then, again, maybe it’s just Big Business, Big Oil etc. It’s usually about making the rich and powerful more rich and more powerful. It’s no coincidence that Musk is in cahoots with Trump & Co is it?
