We appear to be inching towards a mandatory hotel quarantine for all international arrivals. I get why the government are considering this, but quite how they're going to manage the 8,000 Heathrow daily arrivals with just 10,000 local hotel beds will be interesting.
I guess that they're probably hoping that the mandatory quarantine will put off some of those who are still travelling. However, I doubt that anyone is travelling right now for luxury reasons.
Also, this could make the Irish/Northern Irish boarder interesting.

Government's own data shows that last week on any given day you've got 427,000 people with symptoms not self isolating and of those 85,000 are going to work

Unfair to assume that someone high up has mates in the hotel industry?

Itβs being reported in respected German papers that the Oxford vaccine only has an 8% effective rate in over 65βs. Astra Zeneca deny the findings.
On a more serious note the EU has told Pfizer that it must inform them of any exports to third countries which includes us as they want the vaccine to be secured for their people over ours. The true light of the eu coming to the fore there.

Not convinced if the boot were on the other foot, we wouldn't do the same. Chalk it up as another Brexit benefit then.

The true light of combined purchasing power?
If only weβd known weβd have been better off on the inside, hey.

I just cant beleive a single word that Boris and his ministers are spouting, something very sinister is happening, I think most of us know it, but there's nothing we can do about it.

Yeah, it's almost like we started before we even left the transition period.

Probably all the Countries that are giving the second jab when it's meant to be given? Rather than at 12 weeks after the first one.

Sorry, you have a problem now with countries making their own rules and looking after themselves over foreign countries?

You're saying our scientists are wrong then?

Thanks. Whilst not totally rubbishing this, we need to understand that these are "experimental statistics" from the UK's "World beating" Test & Trace system, and Hunt himself prefaces his statement with "IF Cab Office survey is accurate". Hardly convincing is it.
Oh, and then there's the simple fact that this comes from Hunt himself.....

Possibly, probably, who knows for sure. We do know that the UK is going against the advice of the manufacturers without, apparently, knowing for sure that moving from a 3 week gap to a 12 week gap will work as effectively. Whether this is really a decision made by scientists or politicians is unproven I would suggest.

Panto time! Oh yes it does, it's his interpretation on twitter, and you're not addressing the obvious weaknesses in the datasource.

He's referencing the government's own statistics. They've not come from "Hunt himself".
The source is the only one we have to go on unless you have another one? Interesting that you think the reality might be better than the reported numbers though.
Criticise T&T unless it suits your argument then suggest they're doing better than they claim. How contrarian.
