If the vaccine does not stop you from

A) getting covid or
B) stop you from passing it on

Why would you have it administered?

I don't know, but luckily that's not true is it?

IF what you were stating was correct then there would be no point at all. However, at this moment in time it is looking highly likely that the vaccine will be effective in stopping you getting the virus.

As for scenario B, I believe that's unproven at the moment, but clearly if the vaccine does prevent you from getting the virus then, over time, the possibility of passing it on becomes less of an issue as more and more people will be immune.

But you knew all this and are just being a WUM once again you sad, sad person.

It's so good that the number of new infections is going down, hopefully the number of deaths will follow soon.
The lockdown is probably the main reason, but surely when the lockdown is over, and the plebs start mixing closely again, the numbers will again rise.
We really have to hope and pray this vaccine is the real deal, and the virus goes away, or at least recedes massively

Look at the date when he said that. It was 7th Feb 2020 when Covid hadn't killed anyone in the UK. Not your finest effort.

But at that time it was the "phony war" period when nobody was dying of Covid. His comments, at that time, were reasonable and certainly not outrageous, or unique. To try and make something out of what this guy said back in Feb smacks of desperation tbh.

It's still an amusingly sh*t prediction though. Think the Chinese would take issue with the assertion nobody was dying from it having recorded deaths in the many hundreds by then and it had arrived in the UK.

But from that exchange it's Dan Hodges that comes out looking a complete pr*t. Unsurprisingly he writes for the Mail. Moving on.....

What the heck is this?

I would have expected Hodges to have been the one claiming Coronavirus wouldn't kill anyone (although bleating about the financial problems of a lockdown, not the mental health impacts).

Patients admitted to hospital is flat now (up 0.5% in latest seven day period). Coupled with tumbling infection percentage things should hopefully be improving as far as hospitals go in the next few weeks. Another 340k first vaccines administered too.

New high for deaths though - 1,820.

Good news that infections are coming down. Does this mean we can all start organising family get togethers at Easter.

Well they were talking about easing of lockdown restrictions in early March if things go ok with the vaccine program so perhaps Easter get togethers might be possible to some degree.
