The printing of money and low interest rates will always extend the difference between rich and poor.Ronnie Hotdogs wrote: ↑Sat Jan 16, 2021 11:41 pmThat’s capitalism matey.Thor wrote: ↑Sat Jan 16, 2021 10:47 pm Follow the money.

Tell me more about these socialist countries and where one can find them.Currywurst and Chips wrote: ↑Sun Jan 17, 2021 11:05 am Does seem to be a built in mechanism of capitalism though
There's pretty much zero inequality in socialist countries

599 deaths yesterday below the recent average, I think it was reasonable to expect a high number today. Very sad thats a lot of people losing their lives.Smendrick Feaselberg wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 4:32 pm New high of 1,610 deaths reported today, but new cases well down at 33,355 (seems far too good to be true so assume there is more of a lag in these)
4.2million first vaccines administered
Yeah, clearly there has been some lag from the weekend (and earlier) in reporting of deaths and I'm expecting the same when it comes to new cases (even though it's slightly down on yesterday). Patients admitted data is at least almost flat, increasing by only 3.6% in the latest seven day data.Top of the JES wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 4:41 pm599 deaths yesterday below the recent average, I think it was reasonable to expect a high number today. Looked back over the last two weeks and Weds & Thurs had higher figures for infections than all but one other day in that period, so I agree infections likely to tick upwards slightly over the next two days. Overall though over the Five days period Friday 15th to Tuesday19th they are nearly 25% down on the same period the previous week. Encouraging.Smendrick Feaselberg wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 4:50 pmYeah, clearly there has been some lag from the weekend (and earlier) in reporting of deaths and I'm expecting the same when it comes to new cases (even though it's slightly down on yesterday).
