That is a real humdinger of an opening line to a resignation letter. Clearly written by someone hanging out their arse and barely able to string a sentence together.

Can it get much worse for the Tories? And Boris wants another term? You are so right about that opening sentence, it's not parliamentary in tone.

It's just great. I'm howling at that opening line.

This Chris Pincher thing seems to be developing into something Kevin Spacey-esque

That is top level trolling by Javid.

This morning: No. 10 briefing and cabinet ministers on the morning shows: "The PM was unaware of any specific allegations against Chris Pincher"
This afternoon: Boris Johnson was aware of "reports and speculation" about the alleged sexual misconduct of the former deputy chief whip, Chris Pincher, before his appointment in February, No 10 says.
The spokesman added that Mr Pincher "had lots of skills and experience for the role", but when asked whether Mr Johnson used the phrase "Pincher by name, pincher by nature", said he would not comment on private conversations.
We know how this goes, by the end of the week it'll emerge that he knew everything and overruled others to appoint him.

It's just a muscle memory reaction to deny/lie immediately without thinking and then slowly admit you lied.
Classic pathological liar tendency that I expect from Boris but expected his press team to be a bit more savvy.

But for them to back down, there must be something in writing or on video. Or they must think there might be.

"Chris Pincher: No 10 not telling the truth, says ex-senior civil servant"
shocking. Feels like we have our own Trump now, everyday theres a new lie and theres so many of them you just stop caring.

Footage from the cabinet meeting this morning with facial expressions that seem to barely conceal their displeasure with Johnson and the current situation.
How damning is that? Succinctly and dispassionately ripping Boris and his henchmen a new one for being the pathological liars they are.
Not like B*dge to Champion a wrongun , 2008/9 when he had to replace Ray Lewis when he was ambassador for youth .

I'm hoping the conclusion to all this is more people coming forward to back up the existing allegations about Johnson's propensity to go for an under the table grope. Surely that really would be the end.

Here is some of the footage. Just look at those facial expressions. You could cut through that atmosphere with a butter knife.

Boris just forgot that 'Pincher by name, Pincher by nature' was a sex pest, okay?
