This has now been the main headline on bbc news all day, isnt this exactly the sort of nonsense Sir Keir was trying to avoid? Why couldnt she just keep her mouth shut? Just shows what a liability she is imo.
He could have easily avoided it. Instead through factionalism, racism and sheer incompetence he has brought Labour into disrepute. He's gifted it to the right wing media who are feasting on ot like hungry locusts and he only has himself to blame.
Cannot wait to see the impact its having when the latest poll is released.
I would hazard a guess that this wont make a jot of difference on any latest polls taken nationally.

So now he's racist for investigating comments that were at best, downplaying racism?
It was factionalism and incompetence, not racism.
Can you imagine how incompetent you have to be to take over 12 months to investigate a 250 word letter?

In this instance, not writing the letter would have been far better for everyone concerned, though obviously Caca can’t resist phrasing it in the noble, diplomatic way, with the knack of fostering respectful discourse that Reverend so admires

I assumed Caca meant the old trout should have kept her gob shut about the investigation outcome and not being able to stand, not the initial letter?

For the greater good, you bitter lefties should just keep quiet for a few weeks. Its like you just love losing elections.

If only there was a way of sending this message to the PLP in 2017.

I don't know what you youngsters mean by cope, but if it means sh*t-stirring as I suspect then yes, there's a long way to go yet before I peak.

Aaah. Genuinely hadn't even thought of that but yep, that's what they've done - weighed up how many principled lefties will jump ship against how many gammon/reform types will clamber on board.

They don't want Lefties. How many times have they actually said it in public?
And why all the flag shaggin' if you don't then go on to do a racism?

That's not incompetence. Take it from someone who knows; that's masterful.
And you have to deduct all the Fridays from those 12 months too, as nobody will have read their emails.

She's actually got a really good chance of claiming the seat. Purging a left of centre woman of colour for something much less contentious than comments made by people like the, completely forgiven, Barry Sheerman and Neil Coyle, is clearly more important to them than actually gaining another MP.

How unfortunate that an 8 year old allegation should come out a week before the deadline to rubber-stamp their candidate.
