Whether he becomes a good player at some point we need more nous and experience in CM right now. We've got too many young players for them all to play so this works out well for all parties.

The one thing Ling knows about is selling players. He probably made sure of getting extra money if Hector plays more than say 50 games with a 20% sell on fee if sold by Peterborough. Good business for a youngster yet to prove himself in the higher league.Gary the Plumber wrote: ↑Wed Jun 22, 2022 5:00 pmIf people know the figure was £300k, then it'll be because thats the release figure in his contract.tuffers#1 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 22, 2022 4:19 pm300 K Plus sell on .Orient2001 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 22, 2022 4:17 pm
Sounds good to me! Moncur would be a good signing, with maybe another cm coming in. But if we have actually managed to get 300k for him which people are saying fair play Martin Ling.
We get shafted yet again. The one player in our midfield that can retain the ball sold.
But good luck to Hector. I'm sure he'll go on to show the know-nothing idiots on here just how good he is.
You know how release clauses work, right?moonwalk19 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 22, 2022 9:13 pmThe one thing Ling knows about is selling players. Have also received 13.5 Million in the last 5 years as players have moved onto better things.Orient till I die M wrote: ↑Wed Jun 22, 2022 9:19 pm I mean Peterborough have signed 100s of players from the lower leagues that end up back in the lower leagues so I don’t see this one being any different.
Maybe there was a transfer value clauseDrWindy wrote: ↑Thu Jun 23, 2022 3:03 am I wish him well.
I think it’s a similar situation to the Dan Kemp transfer. Another club has spotted potential in a player that I just don’t see.
Personally I don’t think he’s what we need right now. I am betting RW felt the same or he wouldn’t have gone. We have kept Ruel, Thompson and Theo after all.
We need a more energetic and combative midfielder and I have no doubt he’ll be coming through the door shortly.
Come on Orient.
I think I read somewhere when the rumour first come aboit that Hactor had a 300k release clause in his contract. Don't know how true it was thougb.Story of O wrote: ↑Thu Jun 23, 2022 8:16 amMaybe there was a transfer value clauseDrWindy wrote: ↑Thu Jun 23, 2022 3:03 am I wish him well.

Ok , fair enough you’ve mentioned two . How many players did our fans call it right ?. For every Darren Purse and Nicky Story there’s probably five that went straight down the pan.Gary the Plumber wrote: ↑Thu Jun 23, 2022 2:23 pm Anyone remember the time we sold Darren Purse who went on to play in the Premiership and our numb nuts fans said what a load of sh*t he was?
Or the time we sold Nicky Shorey, who went on to play in the premiership and for England and our numb nuts fans said what a load of sh*t he was?
Of course . Tell that to Plums.
Ok, name the five.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 23, 2022 2:44 pmOk , fair enough you’ve mentioned two . How many players did our fans call it right ?. That might be right but the point I was trying to make was that I didn’t think RW fancied him for the role he needs. If he’d said to Hector ‘I want you to stay. I am building a team and want you at the heart of it. We’ll go up this year and you are my main man etc etc’. I am just saying I bet you RW didn’t have those thoughts or that conversation. If he wanted him to stay I think he could have kept him.Loyal_Supporter wrote: ↑Thu Jun 23, 2022 2:43 pmI think I read somewhere when the rumour first come aboit that Hactor had a 300k release clause in his contract.
