Why is there such an obsession with Ebu Addams amongst the members of this board?
Remember guys, he chose not to stay with Orient, for what ever reason, so let's just let him go
now and move on.
IMO It's because he was good and when he left we didn't adequately replace him . I thought Cisse might have been that player but as soon as he got his contract he went rapidly downhill . We still talk about Adams today because we still need a central midfielder like him .

Whilst at FGR when we played him it was a reminder of the fact we haven't improved in that area in getting on for 5 years now. Get that signing right this summer and it's a big step to competing at the very top next season.

Seems rather bizarre that 'Adams never made the EFL's League Two Team of the Season ?
''One such example would be Forest Green's midfielder Ebou Adams, who provides the energy, quality and physicality which is so integral to the team's performances. He failed to make the EFL's League Two Team of the Season but is valued by those in the know and is a widely reported target for Championship clubs. If a player you recognise to be influential is going to be missing, it helps to be aware of how competent the likely replacement will be''

I will have a pint of San Miguel with you that we don't sign a 1st team CM before the close of the forthcoming transfer window. We got at least 4 of them at the moment and they are all contracted for next season. I'd love to be proven wrong, but I don't see it happening.

I’ll make this prediction. Without Adams in their midfield Forest Green will struggle next season.

We’re already owed 1 as Reilly has been moved on.
And I suspect one other, maybe Young or Coleman, will also be farmed out

There was an argument made that one or both of Coleman and Brown were the replacement for Reilly. I don't buy that as you can't seriously expect two youths with 0 league experience to replace a senior pro (however useless he turned out to be)
Wellens talked about wanting a quality midfield player in so the requirement is yet to be fulfilled but as always it's the DoF recruitment that's the concern.
Speaking of contracts wonder what's happening with everyone who isn't Tom James, gone very quiet about getting the others signed up after the initial hopes of getting them wrapped up early

Tell that to the shambles of a transfer committee that came up with January's midfield "answer"

You mean the same ''Very over rated player'' who has just signed for Championship side Cardiff ?
Who knows, according to this BBC sports report, he might even get to be playing with Gareth Bale next season !!
Cant see it myself but depends on if Bale wants to help out his home town club ?
Gareth Bale move to Cardiff City would 'make sense', says Wales boss Robert Page

Five years on from the takeover, and Ling's appointment as DoF, and we still haven't been able to improve on the CMs we scrambled together that summer (Clay & McAnuff). The failure to hang on to Adams is a very important part of that story.

Hopefully that can be put right this Summer.
