We were told by the Brexit frauds that we were going to 'Take back control ' and be able to set our own taxation to suit our needs, unconstrained by the dictatorial EU.So how come no action on VAT on fuel .Seems like a perfect opportunity to demonstrate a benefit from leaving Europe, given the massive windfall in tax receipts that the treasury is now experiencing. I regarded myself lucky to only pay 162.9p yesterday...what a joke

Much of our diesel and heating oil comes from Russia. Expect the price to rise to £2 before long.

The joke is Sunak. He cannot seem to understand that if you take money out of peoples pockets when inflation is rising, you are going to get a recession. The energy costs and effects from the war are just going to exaggerate the problem

Up to £1.62 at our local Morrisons. I haven't checked but I suspect Asda us doing it for £1.6197 and the BP will be over £2 by now.

How much?
Why are fuel prices higher now when they've been much lower when oil prices were much higher?

at Witham yesterday Diesel was £186 rip off.

now back under $100 a barrel apparently we should see 12p come off of a litre in the short term long term forecasts not good though.
