Imagine trashing your own image like that. He should simply have withdrawn from the tournament as soon as it became clear that he'd not be able to get in without the vaccine, rather than stupidly trying to get around it. I disagree about the devaluing event. Sponsors dislike non-conformity. Mass appeal is what they want - and Novax lessens his appeal by the stance. He's devaluing himself.

As for the government, they have been caught short and I suspect that many other governments have learned from this and will legislate to protect their borders. It will probably make entering countries when not jabbed harder as opposed to easier.

I’ve not been following this case closely because, to be quite honest, I couldn’t give two shits about it but didn’t the government tell him to get a vaccine but he lied that he didn’t need one?
