Yeah I think they're a good team -- Hiscock seems to see and understands well what's going on, which complements DV's ability to keep the momentum going in a way that suits radio coverage. I think some of the slips are a result of the golden rule of radio being 'no dead air', which sometimes means you're speaking quicker than you can think.
If I had one criticism of Dave's approach, it's that in his enthusiasm I do feel he sometimes interrupts MH mid-flow with an observation that isn't really urgent (i.e. not so much describing the passage of play but wondering aloud about e.g. substitutions, tactics, etc).

I think Hiscock & DV are doing a great job. Of course the Birthday greetings, give me an urge to kick the TV, especially after a flurry of horizontal passes along the half-way line ( if we get that far ). He has other failings. BUT he is hardly going out to millions of viewers and he is doing a better job than most, and even if you think you could do better, it take some balls to carry on even if you have made yourself look a twit. It all adds to the charm of supporting Little Ole Orient. If we all gave praise where praise is due, and held back on the over the top vitriol, we could even end up in the Premier League ..ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Alarm set for later. BUT HANDS OFF DULCET DAVE!!!!!

I also like Dulcet.
I think some of his many 'idiosyncrasies' are quite endearing, and as someone else mentioned if you've ever heard any of some other teams commentaries you'd realise how dull most of those are.
Does anyone else remember the replacement commentator we had for an away game a couple of seasons ago (Peter ?) Now he was really awful.
Fond memories of this, Plymouth I think. He missed a Plymouth goal because he was describing a dug out!

Some of you are seriously nasty pieces of work.
Dave has served the club for nearly 40 years, I've never heard him say a bad word about anyone other than a certain Italian. Away from the club he heads a special needs school where, judging from some of the replies on here the pupils are infinitely more intelligent than some of you. He is a good man with a good heart. Some of you should try commentating for 90 minutes without making a mistake.
In all truthfulness his job this season has been made so difficult with no crowd and no atmosphere, but he has done his best. He isn't a brown nose, he's an honest guy who has been a friend to me and many others over many years. Perhaps ask what you can do to help the club rather than sledging relentlessly those that do provide a service.
It's the same little clique, most of the people on the board are fine, but it's a nasty little crowd who pipe up each time, same names, give it a rest eh, and leave DV alone, we need more people like Dave and less of the likes of some of you.
I agree with most you have said Andy and would like to point out that he travels the length and breath of the country .What I would say as a commentator he should be more critical when things are not going well. He relies more on his sidekick Matt for comment. Also as far as managers interviews are concerned he never gets to asks questions I.e about tactics and why the he continues with the same match after match. That said he has become an Orient legend.

No he didn't. It was he who saddled us with the most confusing website imaginable. Eliot believed his own press coverage and was completely out of his depth. The current guys are generations ahead of him.
Some of you are seriously nasty pieces of work.
Elliott served the club for nearly 3 years, I've never heard him say a bad word about anyone other than a certain Italian. The way he handled one of the most difficult times in the clubs history was exceptional.
It’s no surprise he was headhunted by a Premiership side.
Elliot is a smart guy - alerting the Club to the continued risk of employing someone like Gilson is evidence of that, although I think AG's ropey commentary in the NL years was a big enough factor on its own to merit his dismissal.
DV may not be the slickest professional either, but he has a huge advantage - he is a genuinely charming, lovely man. Of all the quasi-journalists in the Club's orbit, he's the one with the best skills - he has the knack of being able to ask searching questions in a gentle, unthreatening way and is the only one who is able to occasionally generate some insight.
I don't know the lads who do the punditry on the stream but they seem harmless enough. I know the Club is aiming for a different audience now, but personally I don't feel like they add anything. That Wilkie bloke comes over like a complete chancer though.
If the Club thinks that the streaming service is going to be a goer in the long-run, then they'll need to improve it considerably.
In summary: Team Victor (and Hiscock) all the way.
Well put.
Another voted for Dave and Hiscock from me.

I listened to Dave’s summary last night. I hadn’t really thought about the long term effects of Covid on the team .I have two work mates who have been off work for months with Long Covid . One has only just returned to work and the other is still off . Do we know how ill our players became?
One does wonder. Once the grown-ups (Travis & Teague) got involved, the Club successfully deflected the smoke from that incident, but for all the "COVID means we should limit our ambitions and St Ross not winning for 7 games was the best our poor little club could ever hope for" vs "COVID affected everyone, you dunce" debating, it's worth remembering we had the worst outbreak of any FL team, and at a time when it cost us a lucrative cup tie that might even have ended up being a highlight of our season.

If a player was impacted by long Covid, he wouldn’t have been playing.
The only one who reportedly had serious issues was the lad from Norwich who wasn’t getting picked anyway.

That’s a fair point but I still think having Covid in the squad could have made the difference. Anyway, we fell short last season so now it’s onto the next.

Oyinbo you are obviously a person with a grudge and an agenda. I think I've a good idea who you are.
If I ever said anything too terrible I think top business people like the CEO Matt Porter and Barry Hearn would have stepped in, so too would the media manager who went on to a big Premier club Jonny Davies.
You do nothing but slate me at every opportunity and put forward your political slanted stuff. Be a man for once, tell us your real name or better still come up and introduce yourself instead of being a keyboard coward of the highest order.
I won't go on about Elliot, suffice to say I worked with many people and got on with them all bar one.
You keep slinging mud in my direction sunshine if that's what gets you off.
But to do so hiding behind an alias says a lot more about your character than it does mine.

I have done. You've seen zero other than football from me for years and years and still the same little crowd prattle on. I will say it once more, Matt, Barry or Johnny would have pulled me up if they thought anything I'd said was too terrible. I've apologised before for some of the comments particularly the ones made after my wife was attacked in France, now we move on. The difference Max is I know who you are and you know who I am,. I have a very good feeling I know who the 2 or 3 sledgers are. But to carry on throwing mud and trying to affect me personally whilst hiding behind a username is beyond cowardice.
