The state of some of you, losing your minds because Leyton Orient aren’t pushing for promotion ffs. We have 6 players signed up for next season and the owners want to chip £500k from the wage bill, we are nowhere near ready to be in league 1.

If Ross goes now (or at any time), Martin Ling has to go. If Martin Ling goes, we’re left with 6 players for next season with no manager and no one to sign the players. Maybe Ling really is the smartest man at the club.

It’s no wonder the players aren’t playing well when most of them don’t know if they’ll be employed in just over 2 months.

Playoffs was always just a dream, I am personally satisfied with year on year progression.
With Embleton in charge if we avoid relegation that's basically as far as my expectations go, however this league is so poor this year having signed 4 decent quality players there's no way we should be sitting here thinking anything better is "just a dream".

Bloody hell if Morecambe can be up there who many on here thought were awful why not Orient?

Need to get that winning mentality back into this club and stop accepting less. That needs to start Saturday by going out and playing to win, enough of the cautious small time approach.

It's not just whether we make the play-offs or not, it's the depressing approach that's awful to watch and doesn't deliver entertainment nor success.

What nonsense.
I would have thought being unemployed would have been an incentive.

Its a good job we have played around 65% of the games already, and have 39 points, because this is real relegation form
My forecast, on another thread, that we'll get 47 to 50 points is now looking ambitious
Ross must be replaced between now, and the end of the season
Pregame you said we'd lose 4-0 and that Bradford are the most in form team so why are you suprised/disappointed?
Bradford's form has been amazing of late, and we have been terrible, and I truly thought they would muller us. I got the second bit right....we were terrible again, but i was surprised that Bradford were also bad, and to lose to a team that is bad, is upsetting.
Im disappointed, because i love this club, and when they lose , i get disappointed

Many have said why they want Ross to go now but no-one has explained the rationale behind waiting for the season to end. Can someone please enlighten me - TIA.
If sacking Ross Embleton was going to see Orient go on an unbeaten run all the way to League One, then OK, but given how frequently Orient have changed manager in recent seasons, it tends to have the opposite effect. I see no harm in keeping things stable until the end of the season and it is possible that Orient hit some form and sneak into the play offs.

Given that Ross Embleton has stood aside before, I wouldn’t be surprised if he did so again at the end of the season. On the whole, I think he has done a decent job after Justin Edinburgh, and whilst he may not ultimately be the head coach to guide them into League One, he deserves a shot at it this season.

Yeah, you’re really going to burst your bollocks and risk a serious injury for a mid-table team who haven’t offered you a new contract

Unless things turn really bad I'd stick with Ross at least until the end of the season. Start next season poorly then it might be time for a change, but we've effectively been set back a year by JE's passing and are still in a period of transition.

We have some good players but so do most other teams in the league and our squad is not as strong as many think. Our only player who you could genuinely say would walk into any team in the division is Vigourox and we're carrying too much deadwood from our NL days imo

Mid-table wouldn't be a disaster and we'll be in a better position to strengthen the squad this summer. Ling's record of bringing in players has been mostly good and I trust him to deliver again.

Recent performances haven't been great but our top scorer is just back from injury and probably not fully fit yet and we're missing 2 other attackers

A good way to keep the decent & ambitious out of contract players would be pushing for promotion and playing good football. On the premise that we may get a playoff place this season and if not, we will be pushing next season, they may want to stay.

At present, I don’t think we are really doing anything on the pitch to show we will be there this season or have hope we will next season under current management capabilities. Why would they really stay?

We have the players but our manager is ruining any chance of playoffs and will drive any ambitious players out of the club, even if we offer them improved terms.

I think our ‘settling’ into League one period is over now and should the Ross experiment be.

Get a proper manager in.
I like this post a lot.

A game a certain Mr Peter Kitchen would have been involved in .

Still we cant win every game can we.?

■ Do you feel entitled to 3 points from every game ?

■ Do you Believe every season must be a progressive one ?

■ Do you view Orient's Sucess or Failure as a reflection of your own Existence ?

■ Has it always been like this , Or is it a Phenomenon that is Recent ?

■ Has an Orient Non Winnning result , ever had a Direct adverse affect on Your Life ?

If things don't improve -which i don't think they will- the decision will make itself and the board will be forced to act. Ross will have nobody to blame but himself. He's been well backed and supported by Travis and Teague but hasn't really progressed. Kent Teague comes across as an astute man and before too long I would imagine his patience will run out. Ross is dead in the water in my view. It's just a matter of time.

We're top half, hardly bleeding out are we?
You'll be saying we're only 6 points from the playoffs next.
Before you reply we are also 6 points off being 21st.
If you finish in 21st do you get a chance to play
more games & go into a different league ?
Of course you dont .

Finish in the play offs & you do .

Ross doesn't change his so called plan because he hasn't got one. He doesn't know how to train or set a team up to win, so on that basis he sure as hell can't change to plan B "cause there ain't even a plan A. Utterly clueless.

Agree with much of what has been said on the thread above.

We all know that getting the right manager in is key to success - we did it with JE, look at Morecambe under Derek Adams. Since Mick McCarthy’s arrival at Cardiff their results have transformed, yet with the same squad of players who were struggling under Neil Harris. Saturday’s opponents Tranmere I rate the worst team we’ve played this season, they were truly awful that night at Prenton Park, had no idea, never looked like scoring. A management change soon followed and they’re now in the automatic race.

I don’t believe Embleton is the right man for the job, I never did, but I don’t see much point moving him on now just to give it to one of his untried deputies. If we’re going to make the change then get in a manager with experience and some success on his CV, it increases the chance of success, it's really not rocket science.

Absolutely correct. There seems to be an almost obsessive focus on continuity to the exclusion of all else. Far too cosy both on the field and off it and the results are there for all to see. :(

It should depend of whether a manager is capable of managing and it's clear Ross is not the man for the job, I think the club has been more than loyal to Ross and it's time to move on and replace him with a real management team.

Don’t think we can afford these two.
I think they were on a million between them at Huddersfield.
