Your first line just proves the argument over cheap Labour from Eastern Europe.
No more likw Bosses pricing themselves out of jobs
A worker has a going rate , a boss can expose that .
A friend who runs a building firm charges a day rate & a half for every worker he employs , thats for him , as he doesnt work the tools .
Oiram should be able to tell you if Eastern Europeans are cheap labour , he employs some i think
My ones are on higher than minimum wage and contractors I use are not cheap but cheaper than British , more reliable, moan less and have less tea breaks and shorter lunch in my time.
So more work for your pound note essentially & therefore more profit ?

Just proves my point.
They will do more for less.
It sounds like you can’t manage a workforce.
A good excuse for cheap Labour.
Sorry, that may be your belief, but it isn’t what studies into exactly this have concluded.
Sorry you are wrong.
My own brother is a Bus driver (Which you might say low skilled, could you drive one in London)?they have had on their benefits stripped away since 2010 where overtime is paid at single rate, no enhancement for unsociable hours etc etc.
They say if you don’t want to do it then there are 20 Eastern European’s who will.
What do you expect them to do? Learn a trade at the age of 50.?
You are as out of touch as the Labour Party.
This has happened all over the country in different industries.
One of my neighbours works in a River Island warehouse, another who you would call low skill.
They have increased their hours and stopped overtime payments, the Union tried to fight this but were in a weak position because all the desparate foreign workers would do it.
I will turn the argument on its head, we don’t need “low skilled” foreign workers we have enough of our own to cover this the only the British worker insists on is being treated fairly and rewarded fairly.
We now also have night work paid at just above the minimum wage.
I knew a fella that used to work at our local Tesco warehouse 20 years ago,he was on time and a half for night work plus paid breaks etc. The reason they gave all these extra benefits is because no one would work these hours otherwise. This has now changed with Blair’s idiotic decision to open the floodgates without putting laws in place to ensure companies would not exploit this.
The grinning idiot thought there would only be a few thousand come over obviously forgetting the English language is spoke all over the world.
I notice that your complaint centres on the actions of employers yet you seek to blame Blair and migrant workers for the poor treatment of British workers.
You may not have noticed but it's the Tories who have been in government for the last 11 years.
It appears to me that your real agenda is xenophobia and racist and deflecting from the bad job the far right Tories have done.
Blair opened the floodgates.
And stop playing the race card.
I am not dragging you down
Im bringing you upto a level that is too much for you
Who is Poncing ? I have paid my Stamp .
If i hadnt i would get any benefit .
How much of your 16 k have you got left ?
Your first line just proves the argument over cheap Labour from Eastern Europe.
No it doesn't. One person's experience doesn't prove anything.
I'll say again, this has been thoroughly researched and it has been shown that the effect of cheap labour (from wherever) has a negligible effect on employment and terms and conditions except at the lowest levels.
The fact you keep ignoring this in favour of your own prejudices is telling. Complex issues don't have simple solutions. The value of labour has many components, you can't distill it down to a single factor, much as you would like to.
You are obviously out of touch and clueless.
They have flooded the country with cheap Labour, this is irrefutable.
I have already pointed out several occasions where employment rights have been eroded and you ignore this just like the useless Labour Party.

I Pay them what they ask to be paid. No haggling. I am more attracted to their work ethics and attitude rather than ‘cheap Labour’.

What rubbish.
People in whatever field they are in have fought long and hard for half decent employment conditions and have seen them eroded away by a plentiful supply of cheap labour from abroad.
Blair is a absolute disgrace to allow this to happen.
Its no coincidence that we now have 2 million working people going to food banks because employers can pay a pittance to 6 people sharing a house.
Also the government top up wages of millions of people because of this disgrace.
Sorry, that may be your belief, but it isn’t what studies into exactly this have concluded.

So do you think that now we've "taken back control", that we're going to get all those working benefits back? Paid overtime premium? unsocial hours premium? Paid breaks? I'm not sure that the Tory party - who've been put into power with a big majority by people like you voting to "get Brexit done" - are going to come through for you on that one.
Remember that the Tories have been waging war on the Unions since God was a boy, and I'd dare to suggest that the erosion of those workers rights you write of has a tad more to do with that than with the influx of foreign labour.

Mate, you're like a broken record.
You can call me names all you like, but numerous studies - not anecdotal evidence - back up what I am saying. It's not even hard to find if you look.
Sounds like you have time on your hands, so why don't you find out what's actually happening instead of parroting tired old prejudices.

You are clearly not listening and prefer to listening to some academic who has not got his hands dirty ever.
I have witnessed this as have several other people, why do you think we voted for Brexit?
It was all about immigration nothing else.

Totally agree which is why I voted Labour.
The northerners have been totally played by the Tories who have never introduced any employment rights.
Unfortunately there was no alternative with a Labour Party refusing to propose laws protecting and increasing workers rights.
Certain people on this board have admitted employing foreign workers because they are cheaper. They will do more for less and will not have will guts to pushback, as Nigel will say.
You are obviously out of touch and clueless.

You know what, you're right. Clearly there is not a single academic who has ever got his hands dirty ever.
What they all should have done, instead of doing numerous peer reviewed studies and wasting their time, is come and asked you.
I have a feeling the Brexit you voted for may not turn out to be the panacea you're expecting. That's not a kind of ham, by the way.

No it wasn’t about immigration, it was much more complex than that. Still it fits the narrative you’re trying to make I guess.
No one gave a toss about fishing rights.
If the Eu was as it was in 75 we would have got the same result.

I bet you are one of those lot who sit on there arse, quite happy letting exploited labour clean their cars.
Who are these academics?
er, no, I clean my car myself - not quite sure what that proves mind. Would you feel better about yourself if you painted me as a person who did pay someone to clean his car?
Thank you for the links - but If you're going to quote 12 year old articles from the Daily Express I'd suggest you're struggling to find authoritative support for your position. Still they do sometimes have good pieces on Princess Diana and the weather, though.
At the end of the day, we can trade insults if you like. I don't know you or your situation, and I'm sure you are describing your personal experience accurately - but you have oversimplified the factors involved here. Life is rarely that simple.
