It’s officially off. Orient told the EFL they couldn’t safely fulfill the fixture. I thought they had a team that was able to play Spurs

Re: Saturdays game off now?
The Covid outbreak must have spread and meant the "team" allegedly available on Tuesday have now come down with Covid unless of course Orient didn't have a team that could play on Tuesday.BiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Thu Sep 24, 2020 6:26 pm It’s officially off. Unless there are more positive tests since Tuesday, Orient could have just shot themselves in the foot by now claiming they can't put out a team but apoacoild on Tuesday.
They run risk of having their forfeiting of League Cup tie confirmed and then facing a charge for failing to fulfill the Walsall game. Their pparently shifting stories about ability to put out a side do not help their position

All persons will be expected to self-declare that they have not, within the past 14 days, been in
contact with anyone with suspected or confirmed Covid-19, nor are they displaying any symptoms
of Covid-19.
A temperature screening service should be present at each entrance of the stadium. Aa base line
should be agreed with your Covid-19 Medical Officer. All those allowed to get into the stadium will
have their temperature scanned. Should person display an elevated temperature reading then
that person will be refused entry / taken to the isolation room.
Social distancing should be maintained at each testing point.
Where a person displays a temperature and is refused entry, a thorough clean of that area must
take place ahead of anyone else accessing it.
Should this be defined as a key role – the role contingency contact should be instructed to make
their way to the stadium.
Relevant Staff and Match Officials should undertake testing as dictated by the EFL. They must
have produced a negative test result in the testing round prior to the matchday to be declared fit.
They must still undertake temperature checks and self-declare at the entry point to the ground.

This weekend’s Sky Bet League Two fixture between Walsall and Leyton Orient has been suspended and will not take place on Saturday as scheduled.
Due to the number of positive cases of COVID-19 within the Leyton Orient squad and the requirement for players and staff to subsequently self-isolate as per EFL and Government guidance, the Club has advised the EFL it considers it is unable to safely fulfil this weekend’s fixture.
The circumstances surrounding the postponement will now be the subject of investigation in accordance with EFL Regulations.
A revised date for the rearranged fixture will be confirmed in due course.
EFL called it off due to our ability to guarentee safety
it seems they dont want us to play & are
more interested in keeping people safe & well .
Spanny seems to think it's about a couple of rules though .
1 of the EFL's Rules
Rules can be changed at the discretion of the management committee.
He doesnt seem to post about that 1 a lot though .

Tuffers, how have you read “the Club has advised the EFL it considers it is unable to safely fulfil this weekend’s fixture” and got it was the EFL and not Orient?

I just hope this Q&A doesn't turn into a Trumpesque attempt to blame everyone else but those accountable at the club (primarily the one who has gone into hiding and won't be appearing this evening), because apart from anything else, I cannot be bothered with the dunces in our fanbase circling the wagons around the inadequates that we have running the football side of #OurClub

It is then down to the EFL to contact Walsall & advise them that the game is OFF .
We cant call the game off ,
We can inform the powers that be info & they
must decide on if the game proceeds .

Re: Saturdays game off now
My question is if every league club were to be tested on a weekly basis how many more teams would have players tested positive. According to DM most of the Os players tested positive had no symptoms at all. The EFL have not a clue how to deal with testing. How was Hull city allowed to refuse testing their players for the West Ham cup game.We do the right thing and get slammed. We will probably get fined

There's got to be a very strong chance that, even by the end of the season, LOFC will have the record for the largest number of players returning a positive result from a single batch of testsmoonwalk19 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 25, 2020 12:12 amMy question is if every league club were to be tested on a weekly basis how many more teams would have players tested positive.
