Oh yeah Jake Caprice the player who was lambasted by so many boarders in the past gets an assIst And is now heading for league 1

It was a great ball in. We will definitely have to make signings for next season going by these two teams. The pace is much quicker for starters.

Last time we won at Crewe, I think Brophy scored but the name of the assist from the right wing escapes me .........

You mean that defender in the team with the highest number of clean sheets in L2. Must be crap. Some people just cannot accept he was a good player in a system that didn’t suit him.

He was always the wrong side of an opposition forward, you don't need to be in a system that does not suit you to correct that type of fault.

To be fair. Aside from the cross he was pretty poor.

But Justin didn’t rate him and got him out the side as soon as he could, then shipped him out. Are you saying Justin was wrong?

He didn’t fit the style JE wanted to play. JE has proved his style of play works for us and Caprice has proved his style of play works at Tranmere. Not complex.

Actually think he'd work better in the system we were playing in the 2nd half of the season with wing-backs rather than the flat back four when he was in the side with us.

... He wasn't good at defending, no matter what the formation.

Or attacking.

Could run fast though. At least, towards the opponents goal. Not so fast coming back the other way.

Tranmere, most clean sheets this season suggests otherwise.

He obvious is a decent player if he's played a lot of games in a higher division, for a promoted team.

That doesn't change the fact that he didn't fit in with what we were trying to do, the league we were in or what was expected of players. He would often make a run, not beat the first man with a cross and walk back to his own half as the other team countered. Justin created a squad of hard working, good characters and got us promoted in a league where you could afford to have luxury players.

Obviously. But you are right, he didn’t fit in with what we were trying to do. Though No doubt Tranmere expect a lot of him too, just different expectations to JE.

Sure they did, but being successful in the NL and being successful in league two are different things. He also was surrounded by different players.

We got promoted with pretty much the same team other than him.

But other than that, I make you right.
He struggled with us. Then he got promoted even though all the players around him had changed. And he did that in a higher division.

As someone said above, it’s not often I agree with Maffy, but he’s right this time.
