Fail to see the relevance, previous post highlighted the difference between Judd with an assist for a goal and Ling who scored an own goal, totally different scenario.

Slagging Ling for an own goal that should have been dealt with before it was crossed

I find that really irritating. Very little effort he just plods around, rarely prevents crosses, makes the odd good move.

His assist of course was just that. In truth he just hoofed it up the field and can be thankful to Johnson’s skill. But it was an assist.

He offers very little defensively or offensively. Which could be forgiven at L2 level if he wasn’t so damn lazy. He is a plodder.

Ling did better in the second half today but our defence still concerns me going into the new season. I hope Thomas starts next week at Oldham.
