He is like a kid who got lost on his way to the preliminary stages of Call of Duty at the Cyber games. Completely harmless and I bet he is a nice fella but never in a million years a leader of men especially with no pro background.
Talking nonence but what do you expect from someone who has done nothin in their life except bitch and moan about others.
Mourinho had no pro background he has done OK.
Wenger never played at a high level he did ok.
I could go on but you wouldn’t understand.
I agree it's not a pre-requisite but both of those played professional football.
Danny webb was in charge of the 16 year olds & plenty wanted him running the club .
Ah but he played football theyll say
Carlos Alberto Parreira didnt though & he won the world cup
I didn’t.
No , you mentioned the job that danny webb loved to do

A job that doesn't give you the relevant experience needed to manage a professional football club.
Webb was also running the academy, not just one of a load of coaches.

Ross also ran our Academy. In his early to mid twenties.

He was Youth Development Manager. Didn't that job encapsulate running the thing day to day?

No that fell to Andy Edwards.

I think you're mistaken. Andy Edwards was a couple of year later than Ross. They didn't work together.
Ross ran the COE until 2009ish (when he was 26) I believe.

Whoever took over from Andy ran it day to day. Ross only coached at the centre of excellence.

Yes but that is after, isn't it? Ross was before, he wasn't here after Edwards.
Ross was there as YDM until he left around 2009. Edwards came in as Ross left and became AM in around 2011. I think Miguel De Souza might have run it after.

It was indeed just utter drivel, wasn't it.
He was clearly just whinging it; spouting the first tosh that came into his head without even thinking.
No passion; it was just a garbled message of nothingness.
There must be more than one player in our squad that was just sitting there thinking "you've never even played the game professionally mate; why should I even bother listening to you?

With ''Ross as Boss'' we are just going to have to write this season off.
I could not play for this guy.
More your thing Sid?
You either got it or you aint and Ross aint got it. Give it a season or so and we shall see who got the call right wont we.

That's not true.
5 years of non league management 20 years ago barely counts

Doesn’t it? You said virtually no experience. 5 years is substantial.
If you want to compare a man with 5 years managerial experience who then went on to be assistant manager of a world cup winning team with Ross Embleton, crack on.

So ridiculous to even think of comparing the playing and coaching careers of Ross Embleton and Hans-Dieter Flick. For just a start, Hans-Dieter Flick was a very good professional footballer who played 104 games for Bayern Munich plus 44 games for FC Cologne before retiring from playing due to injuries. Long before becoming Manager of Bayern Munich, he worked under world class coaches in Giovanni Trapattoni, Lothar Matthäus and also was also assistant coach for Germany from 2006 to 2014.

Could Ross run a successful paper merchants? Probably not. Could I do what he does...no...well actually I could, and he knows that, even now.
