EFL to keep promotion and relegation - bad news for Stevenage; can see an appeal from them.

The leagues should be rolling back each team's points totals rather than going with unweighted points per game. Calculate how many points each team had achieved after they had played the same number of games as the team who had played the fewest in the division at the time of the suspension.

Who would they appeal to? I guess they can appeal within the EFL framework, but I always believed that one of the rules of being in the EFL was that you couldn't sue the EFL / FA in civil court. Otherwise you'd have teams trying to get contentious offsides and missed handballs reversed in court because it cost them a league place / relegation etc. (I'm happy to be corrected if anyone knows better and that a club actually can sue the league)

They can appeal to an arbitrator. Binding decision though as you say, (good knowledge) but they'd surely appeal.

They were looking pretty certain to come down regardless

Well yeah, but there’s been a strong case for not relegating anyone this year.
If any team deserves it they do based on this season

Good decision from the EFL. Lays it out plainly
