Now let me think, this man is the free world leader. i.e President of the United States. Not many people get that job, He saw the gap in the market that appealed to people, they flocked to him, he delivers on what the voters wanted. Nailed on cert for re-election.

I am fascinated with the fact that even in 2020, there's still a perceived need for a 'leader' to be a certain type of person, who is an alpha, who is infallible, who never admits they were wrong. It's part of the reason the worlds f*cked.

Boris pretending he wasn't ill for so long and almost dying is a great example. Another is Trump saying that Americans need to wear face masks and then refusing to do it himself, presumably because it would make him look un-Alpha. It's all so pathetic and insecure.

He wasn't calling out China when he was looking for a trade deal. He was actually praising President Xi back on January 24th.

He then downplayed the Virus over the next few months. Over 40 thousand travelled back to the US after this so called travel ban from China at the end of January. Far more travelled back after the partial European ban. The Governors one by one ordered stay at home orders apart from some Republican Governors. Trump is full of it. Don't forget, Boris never ordered the shut down of any major mass gatherings until it was too late. Who will Trump blame today at his Rally?

Agreed. But I also don't really understand the argument that 'you don't talk about China so you cant talk about Trump'. It's the same thing that winds me up when people say you cant criticise the government because you couldn't do better. They are completely different things. One doesn't rely on the other.

America is the most powerful and influential nation on earth, for now. It's actions military, economic, political, cultural etc impact on every citizen on earth.

It's not Trump as such people are obsessed with because he is only one man at the head of an aggressive state. The current focus on Trump is because it is difficult for people to comprehend how such a flawed individual could become President and remain in that position given his unsuitablity.

Of course you can talk about whatever you like, I just wonder why some people are so focussed on him when most of the things he does arent relevant to us.
