The thing is, Thor, you are trying to reason with closed minded, hate-filled people. They just 'happen' to be on the left-wing, but loads of people like them exist on the right, too.

It's not really a political problem though, but a person problem. The issues lie within them, but it's just that they have chosen to apply that hate to anyone who doesn't agree with the tiny microcosm of their world-view.

I know loads of people who would consider themselves on the Left, and would always vote Labour, but they are decent people and have the intellect to absorb, or at least give time to, the views of others.

What you're trying to wrestle with on here, are small, hate-filled individuals, who consider it a "life" to sit on here day and night and shoot down anyone whose views isn't in exact polarity with their own.

They just happen to be left-wing, but that is secondary. What is primary, is that they are hate-filled individuals who, rather than summon up anger for, we should really just pity; for the hate is theirs to own, and must be incredibly detrimental to their health and well-being.

Total Bollox. It's not about hating anyone or anything. It's not about Labour losing in the last election. It's about NOW with this government failing miserably to take the proper action needed to avoid unnecessary loss of life. I'd be feeling the same if Labour were in power. The ability of some Tory voters to still believe in this dreadful government is remarkable. Remarkably sad that is.

Rubbish once again. This government has failed abysmally to address this virus. Slow to start, adopting the herd immunity approach and only kicking that into touch when the projected death toll was 500,000. Then slow to go into lockdown. Ignored best practices from Countries such as S.Korea and Singapore which would have saved countless lives in the UK. Failed to provide sufficient testing and Hancock has since lied his head off countless times saying how we'll be testing many more going forwards. Failed to provide testing for front line NHS staff. Failed to provide sufficient PPE equipment to front line NHS staff (numerically and quality). Failed to order additional ventilators early on - didn't even attend an EU wide initiative meeting which would have assisted with this citing later "we lost the email". I could go on but this has all been debated at length on the Coronavirus thread.

Not every other Government got it wrong. Germany is doing much better than us. Whitty remarked on this but got shot down by a Tory Minister for saying it. After all what do scientists know eh? "We're following advice from the scientists" says the government "Germany seems to be doing better than us" says Whitty "Shut the f*ck up" says a government minister.

Anyway, any organisation should be comparing it's performance against "best in class" performers and from an early stage that was the likes of Singapore and S.Korea. And nothing, absolutely nothing, excuses the way this government has totally failed to supply the NHS with the PPE and equipment it needs. So, why don't you follow your own advice and forget your right wing politics and take a look at all the evidence.
