Re: Meet the Manager - Full Recording
TBH I think Fumbleton started out at a humble, dutiful guy just wanting to do the best by the club - but having had months of smoke pumped up his backside by the knuckleheads, he's grown to rather like that. What he hasn't clocked is that these are the same people who have previously lauded Becch*tti, Bowers, and assorted other toxic losers who had somehow gained temporary influence in and around the club - so they're not exactly discriminating.
I'll say one thing for Hearn, he at least knew to keep the mob at a distance.

People when reading skim through an article looking for the bit that interests them enough to make a comment, similar when listening, we hear it but not delving in, then all of a sudden we hear what we're waiting for and concentrate and respond, to that piece, human nature taking place, people rarely go through the article and comment on all

Re: Meet the Manager - Full Recording
Did anyone ask as to why Ling ( when fit to play ) is nearly always preferred to Judd at right back ?
Also as to if Dennis is not in the team due to being injured, out of form or out of favour ?

This was a select, approving audience. There were no difficult questions. Other than one old boy having a pop at Angol, I guess.Sid Bishop wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2020 12:03 pm Did anyone ask as to why Ling ( when fit to play ) is nearly always preferred to Judd at right back ?

There were no questions on Samling.
Dennis was discussed. Ross explained he’d missed last season and he was under no pressure to hit the ground running with us, he needs to get back into the swing of things again, but has genuinely been injured of late.

He still comes across as completely humble but also backs himself to succeed, which anyone worth their salt should do.OyinbO wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2020 11:10 am TBH I think Fumbleton started out at a humble, dutiful guy just wanting to do the best by the club - but having had months of smoke pumped up his backside by the knuckleheads, he's grown to rather like that. Re: Meet the Manager - Full Recording
a lucky individual who has been found out
In the right place but in the wrong time
got the job and didn't want it , comes back and thinks hes the saviour and believing in spin and propaganda that he is the right person
its all been said about tactics formations etc, but just over promoted to early to manager and its embarrassing
cannot see many clubs queuing up to sign yer
The legacy will be wore a cap, made out he was a geezer, read the book on football cliches , kept saying um er and dave, over elaborated but totally ineffective and was probably one of the worst managers leyton orient have ever had
So we go again against Oldham he should pay his money to uncle martin and Danny on the marketing machine

Good honest summary. Fletcher didn’t speak enough, Ross talks for England , long woolly answers to simple yes no questions !KC & sunshine band wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2020 9:49 pm a lucky individual who has been found out

Re: Meet the Manager - Full Recording
I think maybe the best word to describe Ross is earnest.
I have no doubt he wants the best for the club and is trying his absolute hardest to deliver. He may, in time, become a successful manager; but he doesn't appear to have changed his approach to the squad one iota from when he was a coach.
It is important - as a leader now - that he creates a certain amount of distance between himself and 'the lads' much like Justin had otherwise he will never command the respect that he needs to be successful.
At the moment, he's a "people pleaser", and I think this means that he is shying away (perhaps subconsciously) from making some of the tough decisions that may upset his friends, the players, or his patron Martin.
