so the committee sit down with a wealth of football knowledge and say - I know why dont we loan an injured forward from spurs till the end of the season
This will be ignored though because it's not fair that we didn't want Kemp and he chose to sign for Stevenage and not us. Other teams signing players that teams don't want is unbelievable and only happens to us!Howling Mad Murdock wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2020 8:32 pm https://forums.footballwebpages.co.uk/b ... read/31521
This hasn't slipped past our Stevenage friends.
Smeghead would be funny if it wasn't coming from a guy who, you know, has a name based on something smeggy on his head. Not suprising that you don't think things through.cockhat wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2020 8:27 pmSmeghead Minnie Mouth getting her knickers in a twist again!Smendrick Feaselberg wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2020 7:13 pmIt doesn't only happen at Orient you utter bell end.PoundhillO wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2020 6:40 pm

Yeah! Danny Johnson.Smendrick Feaselberg wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2020 8:50 pmI'd gone with Angol, Harrold, Sotiriou and Wilkinson. Not counting Dennis as he can't shoot. Did I miss anyone off?
It's a signing as in he is registered to us and will be fit to play for us at some point this season. Bit pointless that they took the trouble of photographing him in the kit when he's injured and staying at Spurs for now.
Doh!redintheface wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2020 8:51 pmYeah! Danny Johnson.Smendrick Feaselberg wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2020 8:50 pmI'd gone with Angol, Harrold, Sotiriou and Wilkinson. Not counting Dennis as he can't shoot. Did I miss anyone off?
When did the club say we were signing a defender? If they did hopefully a left back will still be coming in.
Your theory has already been debunked earlier in the Dan Kemp thread.ComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2020 9:15 pm My theory. We were going to sign Dan Kemp, but for reasons unknown Stevenage got in before us.
Now, after promising a signing from a top tier club, Ling has gone into panic mode. Probably been ringing around all day long. Found Sterling, and when told he was injured, said, " thats ok, Im known for signing injured players.....we'll have him"
On paper, yeah a decent window. Would also have liked a left back to cover an area of need and upgrade a weak area for us.Milano wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2020 9:24 pm Vigouroux in - Needed a better keeper is the general view.
Johnson in - Replaces Alabi and hopefully stakes a strong claim for the No 9 job.
Cisse in - Class act already despite not playing this season. A big win for LOFC.
Sterling in - Big future, not paying him, will push Dennis/Dayton/Wright. A bit risky but free.
As a lower league two club, this has been better than anyone thought we'd do.... except for the idiots and self flagellating pessimist types.
See how I'm getting used to this place again.
Think this is fair enough but still don’t dig the idea of signing a player who has been injured for such a long period.Milano wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2020 9:24 pm Vigouroux in - Needed a better keeper is the general view.

What did the club need to "get out" of? Surely it would have been easier/less criticism to just not sign him or anyone else if it was pointless?moonwalk19 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2020 9:29 pm We might as well taken Harry Kane on loan for the next 2months. This is a get out for the club to say they have taken a great prospect on loan . Cannot fool the supporters In believing in this deal as the forum shows
Agreed - all improvements. Sterling seems to be highly rated so let’s see how long he is out for before everyone gets their knickers in a twist. We’ve just signed Johnson who looks like he could be half decent at this level so have a few options now with Ruel also playing well. If he does well when he features, he may be a prospect for next year.Milano wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2020 9:24 pm Vigouroux in - Needed a better keeper is the general view.
