Don’t forget Upminster the club is being built with the future in mind, not get there and say oh we need this, that and the other. It good business practice to be ready to upscale early rather than be reactive and rush it through. I’d suggest it is the right approach to take based on where they want to get.

It's a shame we haven't taken that approach to all areas of the club.

No one is suggesting you have to go out and spend money on transfer fees.
I’m sure our budget is reasonable enough. I would imagine the issue is amount of wastage within that figure. No other club has a DoF to finance. We have given out contract extensions to several ageing players, some of whom have not featured at all. We have had to stump up God knows how much of a head coach’s 18 month contract for just 5 weeks of work. We have very probably had to contribute to Gorman and Alabis future salaries to get them off our wage bill.
Given this level of wastage, it’s not surprising if the money has ‘run out’.
Fair enough.
In which case sounds like we've used up our budget, not run out of money.
It's just a difference of wording but means the same thing. Ok I'll change it to 'the money we have budgeted for the football club has been extinguished, used uop, is no longer available'. Same difference.
It's not a difference of wording or same difference.
Used up the budget = no more budget for additional players.
Run out of money = the club has no money to pay for anything, let alone players.
Bit of a difference there.

We are going to be back in non-league at this rate - which would be criminal

The player himself has heard nothing of a link up with Orient.
