Awww, I feel bad now.
Slightly O/T I know but who was the youngster that was doing it on Tuesday night instead of that Dave bloke? He was really good.
Dave Victors sidekick Matt Hiscock did the commentary with Matt Porter.
Yes I find not having anything to do other than just watch the match very uncomfortable and therefore if something else crops up I might be interested. Doesn't mean I will stop taking an interest in Orient. Tbh very unlikely mid season that anything would crop up.
Matt porter wasn’t commentating.

Nigel Travis has just revealed that before Carl Fletcher was offered the O’s job that it was offered to Colin Calderwood who turned the job down out of loyalty to Cambridge United.

From Podcast guys: "We must add that Nigel never directly named Colin Calderwood on the above, although he did say that it was a League 2 manager who is no longer in the job".

So long as it wasn't Fatty Evans I'm not fussed.

CU won 62 pts from 61 games under Calderwood. 13 months in relegation form.

By not naming him he could just be making that up ! As I Can’t see any issue In not naming him now? He’s unemployed

That is really disappointing about Calderwood.
For us to offer it him must have meant that nobody on the board vetoed it.
He wouldn't have gotten the job here on merit, so why give him a job just because of personal connections? As I said before the only time this thing works if it the connection gets us someone would normally could not have got.
Ling should be removed from the next decision about the staff. The recruitment has been a bit of an embarrassment this season with two coaches getting the bullet because of falling out. If we are going to get an assistant to replace Webb seems that the key attribute we'll be looking for is that they get along with the current set up which narrows the field. We badly need someone who can organise a defence.
The 'cube' stuff that Bob Mills went about on Talksport is bullshit, I am afraid. The club has to come first.

The replacement is Brill and that was in the pipeline for a while

What a f*cking joke a goal keeping coach takes the place of Webby, you couldn’t make it up, it could only happen at our club.

I’d be upset if we get him now. It would look like a job for the boys with the Martin ling connection and on merit

No idea what Brill is like as a coach, but we are well light on experience in both League matches and coaching badges.
Had Justin not passed and he got his way as someone else implied on another thread we might have had David Kerslake as assistant by now - 2 guys with UEFA Pro Licences.
Wonder why Jobi was bypassed? Virtually all managers we have had talked up his leadership qualities, and he was next in line.

This. Ling has outstayed his usefulness IMHO, not against a DOF but not one whose depth of knowledge is his mates in the game or people he's worked with, no wonder Fletcher failed different philosophy and Ling not prepared to be challenged about the way the club is run. It's quite embarrassing and becoming more of a shambles every week.

Funny that. I told everyone I was going to win the lottery. I know it didn't happen, but I was right in that I would have won it if my six numbers had come up.
