Sorry from the way embleton reacted think there's something in what he claims to be true. There was nothing in the goal or the game to make him go like that. Cooper obviously done something or why else was he yellow carded. Bit like the way a fouled player gets sent off for retaliation.
Cooper got booked for his reaction to Ross throwing something at him? We don't know, so its all speculation
I have just read a comment on the FGR forum that has suggested the comment about Justin, if even true as alleged by our ‘rookie’ manager, was meant as a compliment...

Apparently said something along the lines of “you’re a Justin Edinburgh imposter” to Ross, hence why he went nuts and got sent off.
If there are no witnesses it's gonna be his word against Ross's.
I don't believe Ross is a liar, but let's face it, it is not as if he is a calm man sent over the edge, he has regularly been volatile on the touchline, this might go against him.
It seems like a real low blow, but I can't really see what there is to prevent any other manager from doing in future. Was there bad blood previous between them? Him, Embleton and Ling had some Swindon connection.
Needs to be a disrepute charge slapped on here but despite the outrage I can't see it coming.

The 4th official should obviously picked this up. Or was he like the ref in FGR colours, or cocked a deafen.
There were plenty of witnesses, just how many are neutral is the issue.
But bearing in mind how Ross has acted previously, this is totally out of character.
So although not a neutral, I can only believe Ross.
I wouldn’t say it’s entirely out of character. Ross lost his sh*t at Bromley away last season and got sent off there. Although can’t say I blame him for that one either.
I think a lot of fans are getting distracted here. What went on yesterday wasn't nice, and it needs to get sorted quickly, which I'm sure it will do. But what also went on yesterday is that we lost yet again, and we are dropping like a stone into the relegation mire.
Big things are wrong at this club at the moment and it needs to get fixed soonest. This is what we should be concentrating on, never mind anything else.

Can only agree. But I think the 2nd half showed what this group can do with the right focus.
I was near this yesterday, posted shortly after it happened and had posted on Friday in advance that this man is in my view a complete poo poo. Nothing has changed that view, he is without any class or redeeming features.

He lets these ex players get into his head. He shouldn’t.
Will Ross miss the game against Oldham or is it the cup game? It probably doesn't make much difference.
If there is no new evidence it seems to me that nothing will change. The comments clearly below the belt and designed to hurt, but under the laws of the game it seems unsportsmanlike conduct. As distasteful as it were, I don't think it is the equivalent of Cooper either doing something like racially abusing someone (which might be punishable outside of football), or insulting Edinburgh himself.
Thing is, any coach who wants to be a fanny (and there are several of them) could simple goad Ross using the 'imposter' tag. Doesn't need to mention Justin but the inference is clear.
I do also wonder if there might be a harsher penalty from Ross, did he throw his gum at the floor, or at a person? If the latter it might be classed as spitting.

Cooper’s Father Terry, the old Leeds left back, would’ve taught his son all about Gamesmanship etc but comments like that are disgraceful.
Hopefully the 4th official heard it .
I watched his father play - from a distant memory he was an excellent player and don't remember him being particular bad in terms of fouls etc
Yes I think you’re right ‘Up’
Cooper was not one the dirtiest players in that Leeds team, but Don Revie taught all different types of tricks to that team and Cooper would probably have passed on some to his son.
I’m not sure that even Revie would have stooped as low as Cooper allegedly did yesterday.
In the interests of balance Cooper said he didn’t say it, but Ross clearly got upset over something, and it was a remarkably stupid and tasteless thing to say if reports are true, and that’s really disappointing, football doesn’t need that.
Was at Peterborough v Burton yesterday meeting my Posh supporting son down from Lincoln uni – and a 91st minute wonder strike won ‘us’ it – while they’ve become my second team there’s only one O’s! But while I was keeping in touch with the O’s score I just knew we’d lose, saw the Scunthorpe game last week, we’re not at the races currently, and totally understand the comments on here re change being needed and quick.

Couldn’t agree more. This will only act as a smokescreen and divert attention from more fundamental issues.

Obviously some of our players are not good enough for this level and need changing in January . I agree giving contract extensions to some of these players was a stupid mistake

He had others that did that in that team
He was party of the "Dirty Leeds" team under Don Revie

Obviously some of our boarders are not good enough for this level and need there nappy changing constantly . I agree giving typing time to some of these boarders is a stupid mistake

What, another semi-decent 45 minutes three down against a team coasting it, taking the piss, happy to see the game out without too much wasted effort. Had we only been 1 down at half time, impossible as that seems, FGR would have ripped us in the second half too.
We need to put In a decent 90 whilst we still have a chance for points, not when it’s game over.
What's worrying me is this complacency that because only one team goes down this season , we're going to be alright . Well we won't be alright by losing all the time . Sooner or later, we will find ourselves bottom than what . ? I suppose only then will the club do the right thing by bringing in an experienced manager . Why do we have to wait until we're deep in the sh*t before we do that . Why don't we bring in that type of manger now and give him the chance to access and than strengthen our squad in January . It would be nice to give any new manager a decent chance of keeping us up .

Agree totally. A new manager has to come in now, but does anyone trust Ling to get the right person after the cockups he continually presides over?
