Tried to wade through Throbbing Gristle’s 20 Jazz Funk Greats in honour of Genesis P. Orridge’s passing [warning: it’s certainly not jazz funk]. Couldn’t get through it. Unlistenable industrial noise & awful vocals. It’s meant to be a cult classic that inspired techno and many bands, but still can’t see the appeal myself.
Had to switch to some light classical for a bit of relief.

I’m a big fan of Wire. The first 3 albums were brilliant, and even some of their recent stuff is worth a listen.

Fantastic. I dusted off some Stiff Little Fingers albums last weekend. Great stuff too.
