I too will vote to leave having voted to remain, but for different reasons. There will be no peace in this country unless we leave, all the abuse will die down when it become obvious that we have many years of problems before the economy gets back on its feet. Like austerity we will never get back to where we were at the beginning, but the one saving grace is that the architects of the whole mess will be found to be a bunch of charletons and a Tory party will not be in government again for a hundred years.

So basically you voted remain, you know remaining is the sensible thing to do and to do otherwise will cause immeasurable damage but if there's another vote you'll vote to leave because otherwise some people will be cross? Marvellous.
worrying times Joe people are changing to leave as expected.
Are they? More are seeing the mess that Brexiteers are making of our great nation and seeing the Tory right wingers for what they are - liars and incompetents. I mean, lying to the Queen. You approve of that?

Well, they're not really. Mikero may be but no polling that I'm aware of shows Leave gaining, in fact quite the opposite. Happy for you to point me in the direction of any other reports that suggest otherwise.

If there is to be a second vote then I'd be more worried, if I were you, by the young turning out in numbers. Because if they do, and I'm sure they would, then Leave would just be a bad dream. That's democracy for you!

Agree, I'd say it's almost a given that if we do leave, we will rejoin within most of our lifetimes - just on worse terms and with our tails between our legs.

I am old enough to say. I hope we do leave. That will teach the Brexiteers a lesson or two. Me I am on my last legs anyway. Nothing like telling people " I told you so," on the way out!

Really? How do you work that one out then? Please enlighten us.
It's in the report
No it isn't. There is a mention that severe traffic issues through the channel may last up to 6 months. That is an estimate only and is not even the worst case scenario. The other negative impacts of a No Deal scenario are not time defined at all. They could go on for much, much longer so your premise of coming "out of the woods" after 6 months is, quite frankly, bunkum.
No doubt, the post was in relation to the disruption of the flow of goods through Dover though

Those 650 odd arseholes in Westminster are to blame along with Cameron. They voted to have a referendum & voted to trigger Article 50.
Cameron should have at least have a contingency plan should the result go the way it did. Just another case how Westminster fail to judge public opinion & they are still doing it now trying to put obstacles in the way.
Only 1 point i would correct you on , that the 53 SNP members of parliament voted against the Referendum act , so really they cant be held responsible.
There position has never changed.

My point was that the only way the country will ever come back together is to leave and let the consequences convince people that they were better off in the EU than out of it. A vote to remain now will only extend the divisions for another decade or more, better then to take the hit now, make sure the architects of the whole mess are thoughly discredited and Farage is parked in a pub somewhere and never appears in the media again.

The only problem with your thesis Mikero is sometime after going over the cliff edge and it is apparent Operation Fear is in fact, a fact; these nasty xenophobic Right Wingers will blame immigrants, Lefties anyone else who get in their way & the eejits who voted for this mess, will believe them

What sort of victory is that? Selling out the future of the young people in this country is a treason.
